Gruul is always open and surprisingly strong because people are picking everything else always. In between a cpl random "I got a late pick Chain Veil and 4 planeswalkers" types of decks, it's really been a gem farm for me, sooooo much removal and fight spells with strong cards that people don't touch because "it not white, blue, or red"

This is just what I do apparently, but in game 1 why not swing with the tomebound lich? I don't think you were winning that game, but it would've given the out of blocking the angel with a bird and taking the skyknight, putting you at 1 after. Well played, always a joy to watch your videos!

Kenji, I think you're sleeping on Fallaji Archeologist. That card blocks the aggro decks, draws you a card and makes your Treasure Cruises/Gurmag Anglers cheaper. It's the top blue common and the 8th best common overall. (According to 17lands data, which is admittedly not perfect.)
