I am really sorry for the mistake Andy passed away on August 24. On August 23 he fell into a coma and his illness was made public. Only 22 hours later, Hug died following breathing difficulties due to multiple organ failure. RIP

I was surprised to learn that Peter Aerts, one of Andy's toughest opponents, was devastated to the point of tears when he learned of Andy's death. I think that says quite a lot about both men.

That's why the Japanese loved him! He could pull off complex kicks in such short spaces. He had a spinning back kick to the plant leg "the typhoon" it was NASTY!

7:42 despite the video cut, mirko didnt lose by KO or whatnot, they exchanged axe kicks, smiled, andy won by points and mirko acknowledged his awesomeness... My two biggest names in the history of martial arts (ok, two of four, the others are Benny Urquidez and Ramon Dekkers). I still don't remeber any fight where Andy did hit a KO'ed contrahent. He was insanely precise and could predict what damage each hit caused... No slaughter, pure aesthetics and sportsmanship. Biggest respect ever!
