Much respect for this video. As a black educator in the USA, I'm always hunting for literature written by black authors to recommend to my students. We need more literature written by our people that tell our stories.

I love Achebe’s books !! Arrow of God is just what you said. It’s such an educative book.❤ He’s such an icon!!! I always say he’s still living even though he’s passed! Chimamanda’s novels are exceptional, things around your neck made me use my highlighter for major key points when I was reading it !❤ I started reading Buchi Emecheta’s novel from basic school! I have almost all her novels . She explained Igbo culture so beautifully and I learn every day from her books . Her death still hurt me today . 😢 Questions for Ada was recommended by you when you uploaded it on your stories, I cried, and laughed when reading that book 📚! Well done Ada Dimma ! I love this video ❤

My favorite video to date, it was so nice to hear your take on the books. I read Chinua' s Things Fall Apart in high school literature in Kenya. I loved the book! I had no idea it was part of a Trilogy! I will be sure to buy the other books. Out of your list I have also read half of a yellow sun and watched the movie, the book is far better, I bought this at Barnes &Noble in the US, the book was so lovely and vivid and brought back a piece of Africa that I missed so much. Now, I want to read all the rest of the books you recommended. Thank you so much for compiling the list, I am sure I will enjoy this trip

There's no other way to describe them. I'm so much interested in reading and have read almost everything you mentioned and I feel you are good with descriptions. Thank you for doing this for African literature. ❤❤❤

I love all Chinua Achebe's and Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie's books. These authors make me happy. Right now, I'm trying to choose a favourite between PURPLE HIBISCUS and AMERICANNAH❤. BABA SEGI'S WIVES is a wonderful story, too. Likeeeeeeee😲😂❤. I love it so much. Babes, you should read NEARLY ALL THE MEN IN LAGOS ARE M*D, BROKEN, STAY WITH ME, I DO NOT COME TO YOU BY CHANCE... Hi! This is my first ever comment on KZbin but I just HAVE to thank you. I found this video because I wanted to read more books by African authors and I was immediately curious about Chinua Achebe because you spoke so highy of him. Long story short, I started Things fall Apart a couple of days ago and I haven't even finished it yet but it's beautiful, I know it will forever be one of my favourite books! Thank you, thank you, thank you for introducing me to this great author. ❤

Half of a Yellow Sun kept me up and I read it in one night. That’s how impactful that book was to me. It remains at the top of any book recommendation list I make for anyone. The writing transported me right to Biafra and I’m a little Ghanaian lass. ‘The African trilogy’- by Mr Achebe remains among my favourite reads. Just like you, Dimma, ‘Arrow of God’ was my favourite of the 3 reads.
