Alex was already a star before ufc 300, not because of ufc 300, and people weren't mad that Alex was headlining ufc 300, they were mad that he was head lining against Jamahal Hill. Everyone wanted him to fight against a bigger name like Izzy.. Or to put it another way.. They wanted TWO big names to headline, not just one.

No way..Pereira should keep improving on the ground and defend his belt, those heavy weight opportunities are not going anywhere, and he will need every possible minute of improving and putting weight on properly..If he moves to heavy weight even after he loses at LHW, it won't diminish the accomplishment..He lost at MW and moved to LHW, no problemo..

But at the moment Jones and Pereira are UFC's most valued names and no matter who wins, someone's stock would go down. If Jones loses then it validates the claim that Francis is the best HW in the world and it would make a fool out of Dana. If Pereira loses then it would diminish the value of his new star. Especially when Jones is about to retire and Conor isn't coming back.

Agreed. Alex will have to burn his ships whenever he decides to go up to HW because he needs to put on at least 10 pounds in an ideal situation according to his coach. As it is now, he still has a few guys left at LHW (he said so himself) and the situation at HW needs at least another year to sort itself out. I'm a big Poatan fan, but if Jones stays, there's no chance that Alex gets a shot at him before Aspinall gets a chance to unify the belt. It'd be an absolute joke if Aspinall had to defend the interim belt for two years.

At this point is seems like waiting around to fight a big name is a terrible decision because chances are they will cancel because they can, and the more active fighter just loses valuable time from their active years. Alex should just keep doing what he’s doing and fighting when he wants to. Who he fights isn’t that important, he’s the draw.

Jon won’t fight anyone expect a 40+ year old Stipe. The more days that pass, the less interested I am in seeing them fight tbh. I wanna c Alex defend the belt a couple more times at LHW, then move up to HW. Doesn’t have to b for the title immediately, but have him fight someone in the Top 10. If he looks dominant, give him the title shot, against whoever has the belt. My hope is for him n Aspinall to matchup. 🙏

Sure the card might be big but Alex vs Jon JONES after they both wreck everyone for a year would be insane. I guess another option is Jon jones vs stipe , alex vs tom. Then jon vs tom or alex. Jon is trying to go all in to secure his legacy. He lost 4 years due to his foolishness to build on to his resume. Which would have been pretty easy. Alex needs to gain weight and get comroftable fighting at that fight before he can fight Jones. On the feet, Alex can beat Jones no doubt. If Dominick Reyes can beat Jones, so can Pereira.
