I've heard you say "gesso is like underwear" before and it still cracks me up every time you say it. MOF, I think of you whenever I think of gesso.

I print with acrylic heavy body paint ..if i need to thin acrylic I just use medium ..This is great journal paint choice Acrylic tends to strengthen my chip board (cereal box )stencils ..once you painted it it becomes water resistant and can repel a lot of paint saturation .

Hi Dina - in your opinion, is it a good idea to use gesso when laying down distress /distress oxides? Is water application a factor?

Experiment and see :D I have found, though, that using gesso dulls the colours with distress inks and distress oxides. It also really depends on the substrate you are using.
