I worked there as MOF Log Scaler when they first opened the camp in 1972. From these pictures it's obvious that it's certainly changed an awful lot since then.

Wow, wish id of taken pics too, spent lots of time at both Dinan, McCinton, worked for Edwards and Olympic. Even at Loise Island. Probably all thats left of those camps are flat spots and Alder trees.

Cool look at a logging camp. Possum Lodge sums things up pretty well haha. Thanks for sharing.

I was spelling him off on the weekends during the shutdown. He quit working there in October, works in Masset now.

There was only one CD to choose from over there. Reading material was really scarce, too.

it's a shame the bunkhouses got burned down. must have been a fun camp back in the day. my dad took me there in 2005 when i was 14 just to show me where he used to work. had a trailer there and got our fresh water from a small stream waterfall going into a lake

I was actually looking for "When a Tree Falls in the Forest" to be sarcastic, but nobody had it!

Not much here anymore. Just the one bunkhouse, and a few smaller buildings. Politics caused the camp to close, so now everyone has to ride the boat every day.
