I suppose. It's just that I saw that animation, and I loved it so much that I wanted to make something like that for my first animation. It is different in some ways, both the employees die in different ways, the orange one wasn't even there when the whole Nutcracker scene happened. And everything past the argument is new. The creator of that original animation (TheBayG) has commented on this video, giving his thoughts.

There were so many moments where I would rewind and watch over certain parts because they were so satisfying. The elegance in the grabbing of the stop sign at 2:07 comes to mind. There was so much tension towards the end, and the storytelling was simply brilliant. Bravo!

Dine used to be my favorite moon, but they moved the fire exit, for why? And made the butler spawnrate insane. You CAN NOT go alone and have to be with someone at all times. You can't kill them either because of the bees they spawn. You CAN NOT see snare fleas if you don't have a source of light on the naturally higher ceilings. Why would they do this to my sweet sweet Dine.

This was an absolutely amazing short animated film! I felt genuine emotion while watching this. my expectations were low, but you really blew me out of the park with this video. I really like the music, paired with the character's emotions, it felt relatable, it felt like I was watching something that felt real, like a scenario I could see happening in a similar situation in real life... almost. You got some real talent, all you got to do now is keep going, keep making, and most importantly, keep enjoying the journey my man.

I still can't get over how all the monsters in Lethal Company are creatures and beast, a fleet of giant rouge robots that can decimate the landscape, haunted stuff like ghost and possession. And then you got the nutcracker coming at you with a feking shotgun. 1:42 that right there is what really makes the nutcracker terrifying. When you are going with somebody else or a group and all you hear in the distance is: maybe a panicked yell, gunshots, and then the squeaking of boots as it comes for you next.
