2:15:48 you were late on the podium, idk why play first decided it was a good idea to slow it down in the process. What were the intentions?? This traces back to the irritation of the podium from DD1.

How do you get the cutscenes in this game (as well as Hometown Hero + the other expansions) to work? I have no issues running the game itself, but for some reason the cutscenes don't play at all and it just immediately starts the level.

Well it means that the swf files have been deleted (they provide the cutscenes). If they're kept in, the game crashes since Flash is no longer supported. However, you can just run the swf through a flash player to get them to work properly. I don't think you can play the game and have the cutscenes also play, unless it's on a Virtual Machine or something.

@@ToughGamingGuy Ah, alright. Thanks for letting me know. I have Diner Dash 2 and Flo on the Go, both of which in their assets folder have a comics subfolder that has .png image files which are meant to be the cutscenes for those game (still, non-animated ones) but the game files for the others such as Hometown Hero have a different setup that goes like this: C:\Program Files\PlayFirst\Diner Dash - Hometown Hero\game\assets\downloads\_default estaurants\zoo\comics\intro.swf So they clearly exist in the game files, but the game doesn't play them for some reason. In your playthrough, did you add the cutscenes in via post editing after recording the gameplay or did you somehow get them to show up initially?

Hi, yeah the cutscenes in previous games (since they're not animated) indeed work just fine. Yes this is all the magic of editing; gameplay and cutscenes recorded separately.
