I rode in a bus once with a broken intercom. I have a video of it. You hear a bzztzzt sound whenever the voice announciator tried to announce the next stop.

In my local paper, recently, amongst the twaddle that passes for news, there was an item that the Essex Fire Service had performed 250 lift rescues in 2020; for obvious reasons, a lot fewer than the 337 in 2019. And in all, they had to do 3,517 "lift release s" between Jan 2011 and Dec 2020. I don't know how typical this is for one county, or if Essex has more than its share of crappy lifts.

As someone who lives in Essex, we do have a lot of crappy lifts which is probably why like what you said but some parts have good lifts. Sadly some of them get modernised like the lifts at tesco in Chelmsford. The new lifts there break all the time. At Southend, there used to be some old otises at the Victoria Plaza but luckily the lifts that replaced the old otises are some 2nd gen Kone ecodiscs.

@@357account Braintree library has a nice little Kone, although rather narrow for people in wheelchairs. All the other public lifts are rubbish generics.

The shop door seems to be upside down. Those books look proper vintage, they might have value to collectors. A colleague of mine collects old books. I really wonder what happened to that house and it’s residents. Maybe an old person lived there?

Queensland Rail NGRs also have very noticeable static sound while playing the doors closing announcement. It's the only train type in the fleet to do so.
@TheDragonFire1233 жыл бұрын
@Pandrew J Dokxy If most trains discovered have the flaw, it's likely all speakers have the same supplier and therefore flaw. Logical conclusion, innit. But you're not here to truly participate in a constructive argument. If you really thought no one cares, why did you leave a reply then? Of course, it doesn't take a genius to work out you're trying to provoke me.
@TheDragonFire1233 жыл бұрын
@Pandrew J Dokxy Do you have any evidence I'm lying? I've published many NGR videos, go look it up and tell me which one that doesn't hiss. You are clearly too childish to have a constructive discussion; every time you're questioned, you just result to uncreative insults and accusations without evidence.
@TheDragonFire1233 жыл бұрын
@Pandrew J Dokxy You still haven't proved your accusation. Claims made without evidence can be dismissed without it.
@TheDragonFire1233 жыл бұрын
@Pandrew J Dokxy And since you're unwilling to do it (because any evidence would make your BS theory fall apart), here's an NGR exhibiting static sound, proving your "liar" point wrong already. kzbin.info/www/bejne/e6OwaZSVn8irasU And don't try to say I added it myself, this video was published long before your comment was ever made. That would have to be a very foresighted edit then, and the same would be true to every other NGR video I've made prior.
@TheDragonFire1233 жыл бұрын
@Pandrew J Dokxy Please show me how. And please tell me how my video link doesn't prove my point about NGRs. Otherwise, just a load of hot air. Edit: In case the video didn't show up, here it is: kzbin.info/www/bejne/e6OwaZSVn8irasU
