Some lovely video here, but a couple of points need clarification. Bunratty Castle is nowhere near Dingle, it is several hours away up in Clare. And if you want to talk history on the Dingle Peninsula you really should show the Beehive Huts, stone home to monks several hundred years ago, or the 7th Century Gallarus Oratory on the North side of the Dingle.

rob gliddon thanks v much Rob for your kind comment and advice on the Beehive Huts, we plan to return next year and will definitely go there as well as the Skelligs. You of course are right about Bunratty , it is close to Shannon Airport where we flew in and out and simply had to include in our family vid. Thanks again Rob

John Kirwan In 1993/94 I lived just up the road from Bunratty and was a regular at Durty Nelly's, so I recognized the castle from the first shot. During that time I went to Dingle and hiked around the whole peninsula. The road was closed due to a rock slide, so no cars or busses! I had the whole place to myself. 16 degrees Celsius and sunny for two whole days and the rest was torrential rain. Such is Ireland in the winter.

Why jump from dingle to bunratty castle near the end and not mention it puts people thinking that the castle is in dingle !
