When belichek did it, it wasnt to win, it was to expose the loophole (that he had asked the nfl to fix beforehand) on live tv so the nfl would be forced to change the rule. Hes laughing in the clip not because he thinks he outfoxed the other team (he already beat them handily) but because he thought he had forced the nfl to fix the loophole. Sadly, The nfl ignored him until after the titans used it to beat the patriots in a clutch moment during an important game.
