I'm in design manufacturing myself so as a Dingwall bass player I love this video! Such a humble setup! A lovely mix of CNC and hand manufacture! Makes me even prouder to play my Afterburners!! Dingwall for life!

this is awesome... I just wonder why dont we buy instruments from people like Sheldon D. who truly work as hard as possible to give us the best they can for our money. Instead we buy crap from supercompanies like Gibson, Fender, Warwick, Lakland who just want our money... please think about it... I just bought my first Dingwall and believe me... this is the BEST bass I´ve ever had... and I´ve had several from all brands... I think a new Dingwall is on the way...

Because you should always buy whatever instrument feels best for you. Not buy something out of a sense of duty or morality. Personally I'm not into Dingwall, I prefer Spector and Warwick. Does that make me a bad person? Not at all.

Sheldon Dingwall and Barry Lamb. two of the most down to earth guys ever. And as real as they come in the musical instrument business.

@JauqoIIIX Absolutely. I should mention that Sheldon came in on a Holiday to do work on my bass because that was the only time my girlfriend and I could get out there.

Wow, great video, Michael. Very interesting to see how the beauties are created. Sheldon really is both a craftsman and an artist.

I have been fallowing Sheldon's career as a builder , and he's come into his own in the Bass guitar world , these are in my opinion the very best bass guitars money can buy ! and he proves that by selling his products all over the world !!! This well done video gives you a small look into the immense talents of master Luthier Sheldon Dingwall !

Whats the music towards the end of the video? Like it, kind of Holdsworthian.

Why does the end of the video end on like this horror movie sound?

Too bad you couldn't get a tour of the original Dingwall shop (this is shop #4) we spent a number of years in the basement of HEL music (now a clothing shop) all in all we probably had not much more space than the current pickup manufacturing room... turning out all the repairs for HEL music, built all kinds of custom guitars and were pushing a dozen basses out to Germany and Switzerland every 6-8 weeks.... those were the days.... despite the price tag, these are labors of passion

No entiendo esto si están fabricados en china, www.session.de/out/pictures/master/product/5/Dingwall_NG2_Combustion_BK_4.jpg
@Kaiveran4 жыл бұрын
Aquí es donde se hacen los bajos por encargo. El Combustion / NG2 es un modelo producido en masa construido según las especificaciones de Dingwall en China, aunque los pasos finales aún se realizan en esta fábrica.
