Great video Kristen - love when your mom puts in an appearance! I Have to say that even as an introvert Brit who HATES confrontation both your mom's steak and yours would have been sent back to the kitchen if we'd been there - especially for those prices! Is this something that would rarely happen in a Disney restaurant, or in the US generally? I rarely - if ever - see things get sent back on KZbin videos, even when they're sub-par. This is a genuine question - perhaps the Brits are just a bunch of moany old whingers lol 🤣

I do. I was in Outback. Ordered a steak. I ALWAYS order medium rare. When I cut into the steak, it was dry, pink and chewy. I immediately (being polite) sent it back for a new steak. When the 2nd steak arrived, it was the very same. I believe it was the original piece of meat. Again, I returned the steak. It was NOT medium rare. It was pink to well done looking. I was very kind to the waitress who was soooo apologetic. She offered to send the chef to the table. I declined. I ate the veg & baked potato & called it a day, leaving a full steak on the plate. She discounted my plate. I tipped the waitress 30% as she really was trying to offer everything to make up for the error.

We had a very similar experience there when we went in April. Very disappointing. The steaks were slightly over so instead of a medium rare, a medium. The meat didn't seem like a good quality cut or even trimmed well. And the service was poor - they rushed everything. When we went a couple years ago, before the menu change, it was fine. Being new to your channel, I am so glad to see another You Tuber telling the truth about the not so magical side of Disney. Disney isn't perfect and they have made a lot of mistakes over the years. Sadly even the quality of food has gone down somewhat. I personally am more of a quick service guy that doesn't want to spend a lot of money for food, nor lose well over an hour just to eat. The admission costs way too much to spend hours at sit down restaurants, in my opinion. I will do some sit down places but rarely. I am so frugal and old school, it's pathetic. LOL JK! Seriously, I just don't spend a ton of money for food. We ate at Cape may 2 years ago and it was $41 a piece. I hated the price but the food really was awesome. I had no complaints about the food. But I do appreciate your videos for being truthful with us about what you are talking about. Too many You Tubers want to be "Disney Influencers" and get hailed in by Disney for all of the free perks for "Playing their game" to a T. To me it is quite silly, if not ridiculous that so many of the "influencers" portray Disney as "doing no wrong" in everything. I want truth and in reality, it actually helps us guests to want to try some things or bypass them altogether. I also do You Tube videos. I haven't been doing them but a little over a year now. I will do Disney and Universal when I am down there; but I also do a lot of other subject matter than just theme parks. I also tell the truth when it comes to Disney and Universal in my videos. I don't sugar-coat my comments. If something is bad, I tell it. If it is good I make sure to rant and rave about it. I do hope you Kristen, and all that read my comment, will chick on my name and go to my channel and subscribe to my channel and watch my videos.
