We stayed at Flagship from the Friday before Thanksgiving until the day after. Usually we stay at Atlantic Palace, the sister site on the boardwalk. We had a great time! Love that we could walk the boardwalk to Ocean. The restaurant at Flagship reopened the night we arrived and it is delicious! It’s the same owner as Kelsey & Kim’s cafe a couple of blocks away from the hotel. We went there for breakfast and I can’t recommend that cafe enough!!! Wonderful breakfast which included the best grits I have ever eaten!!! We also went to see Lucy! It was closed so we just took photos by the fence. One day we took an uber to Tropicana, and little by little that day made our way down the boardwalk and back to Flagship. LOTS of steps that week, but worth every minute!

My daughter & I just went to Lucy for the first time this weekend. The guided tour was nice, and the gift shop had many cute elephants goods. We were wearing Lucy T-shirts in our casino next day, and one of the staff was so happy that we went to see Lucy. I could tell Lucy was loved by locals!

Beautiful beach and sunsets! Thinking about Atlantic City and your trip as it's been so colder than them. The food looked yummy and delicious. I would have ordered the same things and staying at Flagship was cozy and easy to enjoy the leftovers. ❤

Wow, those views from that building is amazing. Atlantic City is so beautiful city; and outside the casinos the city is underated. Watching from Union City, New Jersey.

So glad you shared the restaurants that are not in the casino. Every time I went to AC, no one wanted to venture off the boardwalk, so I was pretty much limited to the restaurants in the casino. I did get husband to go to local places in Brigantine which was a miracle. I have to revisit the flagship again, it's been a few years. Thanks!

Beautiful non casino hotel which looks like an apartment building to me. All the restaurants you went to were amazing and especially Lucy the elephant🐘 very beautiful and scenic view of the marina. Really liked the beach away from the boardwalk also. I soo enjoyed all your videos from Atlantic City and again showing us the beauty of the city compared to the negative aspects that other people talk about. Thank you for sharing your Atlantic City experiences Jennifer😊 When I travel to Las Vegas I'm on a budget so I can only afford to stay at Circus Circus or something cheaper. If I was to visit Atlantic City I don't think I could afford to stay at any of the hotel and casinos there. For me I'd have to stay at a budget hotel like Motel 6

Thank you so much! Glad you enjoy the beauty of Atlantic City too! Keep checking the Caesar’s app. On the week days on off seasons you can get very inexpensive rates at AC and vegas. You have to be flexible tho and go when it cheap! :)

That Lambertis Restaurant: there were plenty of tables outside (I'm usually alone, too) and a meal usually is only an hour. You could have gotten in and gotten out, if there were reservations, if you were able to eat outside. Maybe weekdays the rules are different.
@thehammer462526 күн бұрын
That Lamberti’s sat vacant for about 2 years blocking the view from Steve & Cookies as the owner took his time finishing it off. Look at the menu, each item has a cash price and a credit card price instead of mentioning a 3% surcharge on the menu. Most restaurants at the shore have credit card fees. Too bad the manager didn’t let you slide as a travel blogger, he could have received more exposure instead of looking like a knucklehead for not seating you.

@@JenniferSparksSavoy It's appreciated by your subscriber base so we can get a real feel. It also says, to those who saw the outside tables and usually dine alone, I'll go somewhere that I can eat outside and overlooks the water and tables aren't as hard to come by

The beach in Margate is public, but in the summer, you will need to buy a beach tag. This tag is cross honored in Ventnor. The restaurant next to Lucy is Ventura’s Greenhouse. They have a downstairs dining room plus an open restaurant on the second floor that is nice when the weather is warm. A little further north is a local dive bar called Robert’s Place. Steve & Cookies Oyster Bar has a nice happy hour, but like you noticed, you have to go right at 4 pm. We went about three weeks ago on a Thursday at 4:10 pm and got two of the last 4 seats at the bar, all the tables were taken. The crab cake sandwich is very good and the burger with fries is a big portion also. If you can’t get into S&C, head to Sophia a couple blocks north, they have a good Happy hour. It features Greek and Italian food. Near Sophia’s is Betty’s Seafood Shack and they make a great Lobster Roll. It’s. BYOB and owned by the folks from Water Dog Smokehouse. Finally, pop into Maynard’s Cafe for the true Jersey Shore dive bar experience. While at the Flagship, did you happen to see if there was any progress on the Kelsey and Kim restaurant that was supposed to open? This space has incredible views of the inlet and Brigantine. However, it has been closed for awhile.

Hello! Thank you so much for the great info! I will def try your suggestions on a future trip! When I was there a few weeks back it said opening soon. That will be a nice improvement to the flagship for sure!
@thehammer462524 күн бұрын
@@JenniferSparksSavoy I think you would really like Betty’s Seafood Shack in the summer, great views and I think the outdoor seating has a long ledge with stools that would be perfect for a single diner. Supposed to have the best Lobster Roll on the island. Forgot to mention another gem: Tomatoe’s. They don’t really have a happy hour, but they have a main menu and a sushi menu. I had the Sashimi platter and it was a nice portion, very fresh.

We stopped going into town when we were accosted three times, shaken down just to be able to enter a convenience store and a restaurant, endure public urination and watched a number of folks shoot up. Lovely town, lovely state.

Hey Jen AlexfromAC Another Great video definitely interesting food options and nice to see some places outside of the casino as we definitely should support all restaurants in the area. Very helpful and informative What are you doing in Rhode Island?? I have never been there but always wanted to visit whenever I was in Hartford visiting family Had a nice weekend at Bally’s Saturday was the $80 gift card giveaway so I was stuck in the Dennis Tower though the room wasn’t too bad had a nice big jacuzzi bathtub and a TV mounted on the wall. So you could watch tv in the tub But I moved Sunday morning to the Ballys tower as it was much less busy on Sunday. Had dinner at Johnny Longos again it’s my go to restaurant at Bally’s. When are you back in AC??? Later this month???
@JenniferSparksSavoy25 күн бұрын
I’ll be back next week! Think we are coming the 30th. Wow! Didn’t know Dennis tower had jacuzzis! Are they more remodeled? Glad you had a great trip!
@alexpissafromAC23 күн бұрын
@@JenniferSparksSavoy. No LOL. It was a definitely not remodeled. Bathroom was old school the tub may have been replaced but the tiles and rug looked like they’d been there since 1980 when Bally’s first opened 😂😂😂. But one night was okay. I’ll probably be in AC again Dec 1 and 2. Not sure where I’ll be staying yet. Going to the Golden Nugget tomorrow Sunday
