A rarity for something like that to go well, but it did. The director wanted to start branching into the Silence of the Lambs era too and I think that would have been fantastic. This is an absolute masterpiece and a half. That violin that went to a higher pitch at :26 immediately stole my breath. Honestly, this fits Hannibal Lector from the TV show so ridiculously well it's not even funny. You can almost feel the calculated madness in what he did and how he treated Will. 100/10, brilliant work.

@XO_ ily, no, it’s by far the *worst* hack job I’ve ever seen. The ORIGINAL character written by Thomas Harris in his tetralogy of novels is by far the best. Unfortunately, it’s fairly difficult to find quality artists’ renderings of the true character described in the novels.

Many of the fandom in the comments is here because of the show, and the image is also from the show..i am not saying the show is superior, however i am suggesting calming down with the comments. I haven't been able to find any comments about the show, without you opening up about how the book is "superior"--we are just here trying to enjoy the charecters we have grown to love, in the way we enjoyed them portrayed. Just personal prefrences, which we are all free too, without others condemning them because they like a diffrent version.

I love this, it's very fitting to the theme in question as well. Something I always hold high regard with you is your ability with the strings and the specific sound you bring out, it's haunting in it's character and expression. The tremolo effect on the violin in this one especially, brings that dark psychotic effect that is complementing to the story of Hannibal. Also your piano melodies, the pace, and the gorgeous elegance brought out, is always something that deserves recognition and respect for.
