I was genuinely impressed by Chief Marcus's handling of her question about food for survival. It also reminded me of a similar instance when I explained our religious practice of fasting two days a week (including our eating habits during fasting) to a Western girl. She initially interpreted it as a means of coping with scarcity, a misconception that Chief Marcus has also excellently clarified in this interview.
