Excellent and legitimate restoration. That transit deserved some help. Bravo.

Good work! For the small decals, I put them on the verry tip of my hobby knife first, makes it easy to guide them into place.

Thanks for the post . ive got 2 to do . Quite difficult project compared to others due to the 2 tone . Hard to reproduce the original sharp edges between orange and white

I've got one of these still in the original box and practically unmarked from my childhood. I also have the road sweeper no 451 in the same condition. One day I guess they'll be an heirloom!

The Humbrol paint you put through your airbrush, was it enamel or acrylic based? Myself along with the majority of other airbrushers regard Humbrol enamel and acrylics totally useless through an airbrush due to their pigments not ground finely enough. Intrigued to know your set up to spray the above mentioned. Cheers..

Peregrine Fortescue Smythe just started this hobby recently so I still have a lot to learn, have tried a few paints but found the Humbro enamel gloss thinned with white sprit is working ok for me, although I have had problems getting certain colours lately.

A great model. Because it was built so sturdy and the doors where so thick I always imagined it being a comouflaged armoured car. A sort fo a real world Spectrum Pursuit Vehicle if you will.:-)

It's a pity they were played with and mistreated years ago. I'm amazed some vans have survived for 50 years. I remember having a kit version in red avis. I remember my mother when she worked in dinky maccarno on binns Road and saying thay had to work very quickly on the assembly line. I guess that's the reason they used stickers rather than transfers. Quicker to apply .
