We’ve eaten at almost every Border Grill that is, or has been. Always a great experience. Border Grill Mandalay is one of our favorite Las Vegas eateries. We especially like the patio. And since there are so many good options, that says a lot.

Haven't been back to the Border Grill since they relocated from Caesar's, and I just never seem to make my way over to Mandalay Bay. Food looked good & colorful tho, especially the empanadas.

Hi Shin. Nice video! I used to frequent the DTLA location about 20 yrs ago with friends. Their food and drinks were always delicious and spot on with their own creative flair. Then I watched their show "Too hot tamales" on the food network some years later. Lastly I had the extreme pleasure of meeting Susan Feniger about 5 years ago. She was extremely kind and humble. IMO you can never go wrong with their food! Also it seems that they've kept their prices relatively low compared to most LV strip restaurants. For the price point you really are in for a TREAT dining there. Thanks as always for sharing friend!

That bite on the plantain empanada looked a 10/10 . Plaintain chips with that aguachiles looked so heavenly. Shame the green chicken enchilada didn't do justice as the green sauce are quite tasty. 🍤🍤🍤🍤🍤🍤🍤🌮 need extra shrimp we can agree. Cauliflower taco needs more loving. Hmm I wonder how it would taste if the prime rib taco has a horshradish/avocado cream sauce... That chorizo potato n cheese may be tasty in a taco. Yucatan pork looked like a gold medal winner just by the way you took that bite shin :) That churro reminds me of a puff pastry , that smile shin wins a gold medal for taste and presentation . Wish you tried the mexican bread pudding (capirotada). Great vid shin 🎉

I have to agree with many of the comments here. The food is absolutely spectacular to look at. The presentations and those colors, as well as tasting good for the most part. And some, to me at least, very original recipes. Those plantain empenadas looked so good, as well as that enchilada trio. So happy you had such nice dining experience.

Shen ! What a fantastic food find for you and for us ! First I would have to snag an outdoor table overlooking whatever it is I'd over look LOL ! Next, I loved that you enjoyed almost all the dishes immensely and few were mediocre considering the volume ordered. I love a good authentic corn tortilla so theirs are great, and also the fresh salsas and toppings yum ! That cauliflower taco has my heart. Vampiro tacos are glorias too - like you said - double the shrimp please. But the piece de resistance of the video for me was your silent swoon reaction to your desert - SO HAPPY you were so happy ! That patio overlooking the lazy river of the Mandalay Beach is actually amazing. In some slightly cooler weather, I would try and eat outside exclusively. Great food at Border Grill too! Some of the best vegetarian recipes I've had. Thanks for watching!

Hii Shin!! I am so glad you reviewed Border Grill. I have been there several times over the years because we always stay at the Delano. You tried many of the items that I’ve been wanting to try but never have. I have to agree the Yucatán Pork bowl looked like a winner as well as the shrimp tacos. Great review, Shin! Your comment about the multi-colored tortilla with the cauliflower taco reminded me of my thoughts of tri-color tortilla chips. They are awful and I never order anything that has them included in a menu description. Something about them doesn't even taste like tortilla chips. This is probably not something you would care to address in your comments but as a resident of Vegas what is your feeling on the shooting as a whole & how it was before and how it’s bounced back since? Personally I would visit Vegas 3-4 times a year almost always Luxor, Mandalay, Caesers, Venetian. I watched live on TV the whole event and when it happened I didn’t go back for a couple years after. -Food looks amazing, great video. ❤

I was not a resident during that time but it's heartbreaking and very sad. It does feel like tourists have forgotten though. I know that statistically, the likelihood of going through that again is low. Even 100 people out of 40 million+ visitors a year is an astronomically low chance. But it's still something that lives in the back of our minds. I hope security and other measures are able to keep that kind of incident from occurring again. Thanks for!

I'm curious Shin, how much did you have to fiddle with the audio on this one? It sounded SO loud and noisy in the background, I have to imagine it was a nightmare trying to isolate the background without nuking your personal audio no? First thing I thought of was how the background noise was just crazy at this place lol and I've been there and it was never that busy to be so darn noisy like that (then again I went at basically when they were closing on a Monday night - like 9:45, I think they close at 10).
