@@mmirl9859 my husband and I felt that the salad and rib cap steak were below average. The service was lackluster. The steak was flavorless. The roll was akin to a grocery store brown and serve. We have come to understand that bloggers receive specialized treatment. But even so, the food just didn’t taste very good, especially for the price of it.

Yet another awesome vlog from the McKenzies! This perhaps was an excellent marketing move by the Plaza, going after a demographic that wears decent clothes (vs tees & shorts) to a steakhouse, and it certainly went to a couple who deeply deserve to be treated. Did it work? For me it did! I've only been to Fremont twice, & not in the past 20 years,...but after seeing this I'll put Oscars on the agenda ( in ink!) for the next trip - and probably book a room too. Have never stayed downtown. My thanks to D & P once again for broadening my Vegas experience, and to the Plaza for treating two of vlogdoms favorite people like the LV royalty they are!

I am in the 50-something demographic and often feel underrepresented also since not everyone “does Vegas” the same way. My husband and I fly from NY at least twice per year and enjoy the variety of restaurants, shows, and gambling that Vegas has to offer. This couple is a treasure to watch and always look forward to all of their videos.

Yes, we agree, the Plaza is doing a good thing by offering comps to the KZbinrs, and wanting to appeal to their audiences regardless of whether they are younger or older. Ours is definitely more mature, but also has more money to spend, more time for longer stays, and, most important, you trust our recommendations!

Thank you for the review. I've stayed and Plaza several Times and have enjoyed Oscars on a few Occasions. I just think it is hands down the best steak restaurant in Vegas that also a great view of Fremont along with a great Happy Hour. I could order everything that you two had on that table and be quite happy. Now before you guys even mentioned dessert I said to myself. 'Are they going to do dessert? I'm thinking Creme Brulee.' Then right on cue there you are. I'm sure its a popular combination. I remember having it after a filet mignon at my last upscale steak house visit.

Well....we didn't order the dessert at all lol! We are most often too full for dessert, but in this case, Oscar's wanted us to have the full experience, so they chose the dessert. The creme brulee was a perfect choice - very light, and not too sweet.

I have had a few people suggest that I try Oscar’s before, but I’m not a huge steak person, so I haven’t gone. But if Oscar’s is an establishment where a lot of your viewers go to, then I’m thinking I should give it a shot. I have a feeling that the type of people who watch your channel are the kind of people who I would enjoy eating in the same establishment with. You guys have such a pleasant and nice vibe, and I would think your viewers are more classy than the average person I run into in Vegas.

Myself and my husband went to Oscar's last yr for my birthday and i should of ordered the rib cap but ended up with the new york strip but regardless the dinner we both had was just AWESOME we shared the chocolate chip cookie for dessert but we asked for a side of vanilla ice cream and OMG it was FANTASTIC....We will be back in August and we have reservations at the Mayfair Supper Club but I'll tell you this I haven't been able to get Oscar's out of my head and think we might just have to do two fancy dinners on our next trip (we usually only do one & we try a different restaurant each trip)....What a wonderful vlog....Thanks for all your hard work...You both are just amazing....😀😊🙂

Back in the 1980's our charter flights from Wisconsin always stayed at the then Union Plaza. We never ventured to the strip, downtown was our stomping grounds for the entire trip. What fun times those were back then.

So happy you finally made it. We love Oscars! We spent 3 nights there at the bar which serves full menu. They gave Kathleen a Birthday cake and us a Anniversary Cake. The Plaza is just class, old fashion class. They get it! looking forward to the next vlog, interested in your actual stay just might put us over the top to stay on our next visit. Tip for all, if you get there for happy hour, those shrimp are $3.00 each, I may or may not have had a dozen or so. Another great Video!

I LOVE the Plaza, I’m so happy you made a video, you can see it under construction in the James Bond movie Diamonds are Forever, I vowed next time I went to Las Vegas I was going to stay there, I regret not trying Oscar’s, I didn’t realise it was that good

The steaks looked delicious and the shrimp looked awesome. Thanks for recognizing the staff of their hospitality and service. You can tell that they care about there restaurant. Dale and Paula that’s the feeling I get when you put out your videos . The time and effort that you put into your channel is a gift to all of your subscribers. I want to thank you for sharing your experience ! I’m not a big fan of spinach , I may have to try it after your night at Oscar’s.

The rib cap also called “spinalis” is the best part of any cows. It’s usually the smaller thin outter part of a rib eye steak. Super tender and flavourful. So glad you tried it. 🎉

Really glad you guys checked out the plaza the staff down there between Lisa Nicole Gary Jonathan everybody that’s running the place is just amazing and you said it best deal every time I visit every single trip I end up there it’s always overwhelming and that’s what I love about the plaza service staff and just genuine people they have running the place & Glad you folks had a great experience & Would love to chat with ya folks as I will be in Vegas just about the next 2 weeks for the podcast and KZbin channel absolutely love y’all work & Definitely one of my favs 👏👏
