It's situations like this that make me very happy and grateful that I still own a PS1 and PS2 and I still have my old game collection for both consoles so that I can play older, nostalgic titles whenever I want without having to fork up cash to greedy ass gaming companies. Gaming just isn't what it used to be in my opinion. Especially when gaming companies sell half a game for $60+ and then expect you to pay for add ons and season passes to get the other half of the game.

I’m not really up on how to make a controller work on a laptop, but I’ve played plenty of classic PS1 games using an emulator on PC. Might be worth looking into for older games.

@@rifleshooterchannel208 It's as easy as connecting it to PC via usb. If you're using Duckstation, it will take care of the rest for you. Playing old games with M&K is more of a hassle than with controllers anyway. At least imo.

I already got a sub before Sony went insane and started gouging players for even more money... and even though I absolutely love Dino Crisis... it's still not worth the lesser "premium" price I payed. There's barely any retro games I want to actually play and it's absolute BS that not long ago we could just buy these classic games for 10$ and keep them. Companies wonder why emulation just keeps getting more and more popular 😂

They need to add Silent Hill 1, they had it on psx on the ps3 so I don’t see the problem…..same with Resident Evil 2 and 3.

It’s prob a Capcom issue. They seem to be the only publishers doing this The poor Americans couldn’t even redeem their version of RE1 on PS5 as the PS3 release is a different edition (they got the one with shitty music while Europe got the standard directors cut which is what’s on ps5 too)

That’s weird, I already owned the game digitally so it allows me to download and play it or stream it. It’s the same with Resident Evil on the PS5.

See, this is the problem with digital games. Sony profits IMMENSELY from this, and they will implement this more and more coming the next generations. There’s a lot of talk about digital gaming in the future. Like when Sony decides to “unplug”, you’ll lose all your digital content AND your money that you paid to buy them. They will also stop using disc drives, which makes it so that everyone HAS to buy their games purely digital. When this happens, i will no longer buy the newest console. We all buy (certain, not all of them) games digitally because it’s easy. I’ve always preferred disc versions over digital versions, unless the game in question gets released only digitally which is very exceptional to me. Imo, discs are the best version of videogames bc when Sony unplugs, you still got your disc version which they can’t touch. Then again, unplugging is something they absolutely can’t do…they can’t just decide to end it abruptly for everyone to lose all of their digital games. That’s theft on a grand scale and they will get sued for this big time.

This is why I'm glad I took care of my stuff growing up I can load up my ps1 any time and play dino crisis or anything without worring about Sony and or capcom's bs logic, gaming industry wouldn't be bending us over if the people that run there mouths talking how much they are getting tired of getting screwed um okay stop finally complaining and help the change actually happen, I'm only 1 man I can't stop us from getting screwed by myself but people that bitch then buy the bs anyways is the problem and the reason why they keep screwing us

I played it on dream cast when it first came out on dreamcast along with code veranga I licked Dino crisis 2 and 3 and the one on the original xbox set on a space ship

Great video. Yes like others have mentioned here, it's a bit ridiculous that instead of just letting you outright buy the game, Sony is locking behind PS Plus where you'd only have temporary access If you can afford it, you're just better off buying a 5-700 dollar gaming laptop, grabbing a an emulator and using a compatible controller

Purchase the retro beast it's a better deal no subscriptions just a multiverse of gaming platform emulator old, new, and current gaming all in one package but theirs a catch any platforms that are still making games will need to have their library's updated.

i just hope they hurry and add dino crisis part 2, same with resident evil 2, the og one's, cause i think those are the main one's people want, they are the most refined out of each trilogy, plus they are masterpieces, hopefully they add re 3, as well. But man do i really want dino crisis 2 & resident evil 2 to be available, those are definitely gonna get the most attention & praise. I also love how they added that rewind feature to the classics, It is so weird why we haven't gotten a new dino crisis after all of this time, you would think it would be a no brainer esp after how well re2 & 3 remake did, They could do a remake/reboot of dino crisis an it could be like a mix of DC 1 & 2 mixed together, with gameplay similar to re3 remake, or dead space 2, just a lot longer, with a lot more weapons, an tons of creepy to downright terrifying mutated dinosaurs. If they do it they gotta add water dinosaurs, an one's that act super twitchy, they gotta have boss battles an it would be cool if they came up with super unique scary sounds for each type of mutated dino.

I agree as well. I will say they could do this to start and then after a few months or a year then have it be for purchase. They would have made the $20 off the monthly subscription from the people that did do it and then the $15 to own when it finally is released to own as the super fans will do that. Also, I would think Capcom would get data on who downloaded the game under the subscription, so they would know how many people played with subscription wouldn’t they?

I am super hyped they brought it back, sad it is locked behind the monthly thing, but that is how they get people to buy in, otherwise why would anyone really do it?, but i think after you try for a month if you don't like it, they should then allow you to buy it.

Totally agree with everything you said, it's a shame for people wanting to collect all these classic titles but it's hidden behind a weekly subscription to rent the game. Hope they listen and give us the option to just buy it. Watch them do this to a resident evil trilogy now

They already did (the subscription thing) with RE Director's Cut. I'm not sure why people are surprised with this when Capcom had already done it before with Sony.

@EpsilonChurchRVB so in Australia we had the option to just buy resident evil directors cut, didn't need a subscription to playstation plus, not surprised that capcom and Sony would do it but it's stupid and wasting potential money from fans who just want to buy the game not having to have a subscription.

It really is bad, Capcom or Sony or hell even both you can not always lock away great games with subscription tiers. I knew this shit was going to back fire from the get go when it was announced. they need to stop this nonsense and give people what they want. That also includes to the people who already bought the game on PS3, to give the game for free for ps4 and ps5 users. And don't say that's being greedy. Because we already paid for the License of the owner ship of the game on PS3. if we can find it on our download list we have it. But I think that's why Sony is also messing with the psn store on ps3, not only are they trying to keep people from buying on it anymore, but they're trying to make it harder to find Older title purchase downloads.

Sony is copying Nintendo with the backwards compatible games. You can’t buy backwards compatible games on the Switch, you have to be subscribed to play them.

I see this as an Opportunity to show Capcom my interest in a possible Remake for the Game. And this is definitively Capcom checking out possible interest in the series and believe me they will check the download numbers. Besides that, you get accsess to a lot more games. And the 1 month subscription is not that expensive. So if u don't take the opprtunity, don't complain when a Dino Crisis Remake never happens. It's a little bit like the Dead Space situation. Everyone wanted a new Dead Space, EA is giving us a Remake, wich was a fantastic game, and in the end nobody was buying it and the series is dead again for, at least the next 10 years. So download it and show capcom youre interest in that franchise.

Game's being treated like it's a demo, but you pay full price for it. Major pass; beware of Sony and any movements they make concerning games. Can't even close a PSN account because it 'doesn't have enough credibility to be closed', one agent told me. Start engineering a PC port for the game, ladies and gentlemen.
