Personally, I'm always hesitant to say that any cover is "better" than an original, but I read what you wrote and you didn't write that it's better, just that you prefer it. And you know what? I do too. If I had to only hear this version for the rest of my life and never again hear the original, I wouldn't die miserably. LOL! This version is absolutely amazing, for sure!

Jane has always been, to me, absolutely one of the most FANTASTIC male rock performances EVER recorded! Mickey Thomas' vocal is unparalleled...well, at least I thought until I heard this! As much as I appreciate his all-world technical skills, his lead reminds me of how great the original lead is. I dig shredding but the phrasing, licks and choices of notes of the new solo put it in the "...meh..." category. Regardless, his tone on rhythm is perfect. I love this cover. That took balls. I always considered "Jane" to be an perfectly executed hard rock song. Mickey Thomas' vocal and those rib-cracking power chords? PERFECT. But this version was great, too! Sounded amazing. Vocals killed. All the power of the original with the expected twists coming from 3 virtuosos. Really enjoyed that!

Just WOW! Had forgotten about this lovely melodic Starship rocker. In isolation these fine gents completely took it to New level. IMO, the best 'lockdown' performance of them all. Hoekstra seems like one of the nicest, upbeat guitarists, can do it all. All of them, top talent. 'Dino, in name only a mere consonant apart fr 'Dio'. Damn! 👏👏👏
