​@@jimgag2 I also sang in an acapella group back in the sixties usually doing first tenor or inverted baritone. I'm 75 now and still listen to as much acapella as I can find. I sing along doing the various harmony parts, and almost nothing else gives me as much joy as doing that. It's in my blood forever.

Neighbors Complaint was an outstanding acapella group out of Philadelphia. It's a shame they broke up. They had some great singers, Bobby Murphy, Harry Schmidt and Fast Eddie doing his incredible bass. I especially remember Push Button Automobile (Medallions) and Your Promise To Be Mine (Drifters) from them sung simply spectacularly. Oh, and Lucille also from Clyde McPhatter and the Drifters. Absolutely loved their sound!!

This originally was a street corner exercise called flames or church harmony it consisted of simply ooh , ah and the word flames set to a haunting chord progression of C E F C,we wrote words to it and recorded it in 1964 and updated it a bit higher and slightly faster in 1966, This song was recorded in 1992, about 27 years after ours, What a great sound they completely re imagined it with their own words and knocked it out of the ball park.
