The Eversor is sadly a bit mistold by Bricky. Here a bit of correction. Yes they are HEAVILY psychologically and mentally conditioned, but not Clockwork Orange style. They have extremely hightened aggression, but they can focus it on their intended target. Imagine these assassins like a completely overclocked PC. Theis bodies, minds and nervoussystem operate on levels that are ludicrous speeds, even compared to a Spacemarine. After these former "humans" are completely converted to Eversors, they HAVE to be cryoed, because their bodies would stop functioning after just some weeks, to I think 2 or 3 months at the really hard maximum. So they are dropped as near as possible to their target, get their target(s) mentally imprinted on the drop and take the fastest and bloodiest way imaginable to their target and after completion (and hopefully surviving) take the fastest way to their cryo, to be frozen again. Think of it as, the shorter the time, they are unfrozen, the more uses you get out of one of those assassins. An Eversor is one of the most bloody and loud messages you can get, if the Imperium is definitely not pleased with you existing. They definitely don't actively kill friendly troops (normally included in their mental imprint) but they will definitely go literally through you if you are in their path or could slow them down in any way. I one time read a short "report" of an Eversor who used up all his weapons on reaching the target and then making a complete bloodbath of the targets family and all household by using theis silverware like spoons and stuff.

I feel Bricky didn't quite do the Emperor justice on two occasions. - The first one being that the Big E didn't just show up and die and then have people worship him just because. At the time the Emperor stepped in, humanity had fallen from grace heavily as before 40k (10-25k ish) we were one of the most advanced races in the galaxy due to our super A.I. And as you can guess, this A.I turned against us terminator style and we fought the biggest galactic civil war our species had ever experienced. We won, but we were so screwed that we just fell apart right after as worlds turned back to caveman style fights for survival. - The Emperor took all this in and he said no. He decided that he was going to once again unite our species and launched the Great Crusade which was a success. This is why he was so loved and people everywhere mourned his permanent enthronement. The man basically took the dying embers of our shattered race and breathed hope into it, kindling a fire so strong it's been burning for the past 10k years. He took us up when we had no other and that's why people started worshipping him. - The other thing is that the Omnissiah is NOT the machine god idk why Bricky said that. The machine god is by itself and the Omnissiah is the *person* that's thought to have the *voice* of the machine god permeating *through* him. And that person is *the Emperor* , that is why the Mechanicus and the Imperium can get along. They worship the Emepror but in a weird way and that has everyone looking at them funny and suspiciously, but it's ultimately Emperor worship so they get along. - It's modelled after the Christian trinity so think of it like that. There's the Omnissiah (Messiah, as in Jesus), The Machine God (God the Father) and the Machine Spirit/Motive force (The Holy Spirit). Praying to Jesus is the same as praying to God, so the Mechanicus prays to the Emperor which is the same as the Machine God. The Imperium still barely tolerates this though

Also: In the Horus Heresy Novels it is explained, that the 10 ft tall Warrior King is only one of his many psychich images, which he projects to outsiders and especially his Primarch Sons. i wish there was a better intro to 40k video because brickey gets a bunch of stuff wrong. he portrays the imperium in the worst possible light while making chaos seem like it's not so bad. the four chaos gods are pure evil, full stop. he says that khorne is the god of murder and combat, but also honor. this is the chaos propaganda that is used to recruit humans to joining chaos. khorne, and the other three major chaos gods, do not have another side. the warp contains other lesser chaos gods that represent love, honor, and pretty much everything else. the imperium does evil things to preserve humanity's existence. what they do is ruthless and harsh, but it is necessary. a single low level psyker can doom an entire planet to a daemon incursion and genestealer/chaos cults will absolutely doom a world if they are not rooted out and disposed of.

A little In-Universe Information about the Golden Throne, in which the Emperor sits: That thing should've been his greatest achievment. Every Primarch was designed for a special purpose. And the purpose of his Son Magnus, who later joined Horus' forces, should have been sitting there. The Eldar have the so called Webway across the Galaxy. They can go into a portal on one planet and get out at the planet, they want to be, in a very small time without traveling trough the warp. The Emperor built a interface to the Eldar Webway, so that ships would've be barely nessecary and Magnus should've been the guardian of that. At the time, Horus was manipulated to join Chaos, Magnus (who was strictly forbidden to use his psychic power after the council of Nikaea) used his powers, to project his psychic presence to Terra, to warn his father. But with this, he damaged the machine of the throne to a nearly unrepairable state. Thousends of years of preparation, demolished in a few seconds. The worst thing: Magnus destroyed the protection from the warp. After the siege of Terra, the Terran Webway collapsed and only the Emperor's psychich powers protects Terra from Demonic Invasion.

I don't like it because I like being evil. I like it because its tragic and bleak. But its actually nice to see decent people in such a setting. Kind of like the appeal of Game of Thrones. Where even the good guys have vices and need to be cutthroat to just survive. I also like how offputting the morality of this world is. Its kind of like reading ancient history. Like reading about Julius Caesar. Where people are relatable and human at one point and commit horrible atrocities in the next. And you just get a tough skin after a while.

Roboute Guilliman is the only Primarch with hard to pronounce name (There's like at least three different ways to pronounce his name) and his Legion are the poster boys of WH40K. Three armies is like a lot of money because a friend of mine used to play WH40K and he has like one army..... a complete army before he sold it off. To put in context how expensive one army cost...... you can buy a state of the art pc gaming set up and with left over money to buy a few indie games and maybe one triple A game.

Doing worse? The Golden Throne was going to be the greatest gift Magnus could ever ask for, it didn't use to be the soul ripping torture device it is now. It was literally just a psychic amplifier, Magnus genuinely would've been over the moon with happiness.

@@ironduke5058 where do you have that from? magnus was always just supposed to be a tool the emperor used without a moment of gratitude worse torture then the little effort the emperor put into the astronomicon magnus was supposed to force the webway, the old one creation, to bend to a million worlds conflicting wills a conduit to humanitys self centeredness and the impossible task of making it work the emperors torture is nothing compared to how he wanted to tear his son apart eternally

We will know we were loyal unto the end because we accepted our fate.” - The Emperor is a character purposely written in a way that you can see him as both a master mind that would use anyone and anything to get what he wants, or as a brilliant man who does his best with what he has against impossible odds so that all can have a brighter future. I believe that he is the second. If you read the excerpts and just generally understand the lore of the throne, you'd know that sitting on the throne was chill and the main thing that kept the Emperor so occupied on Terra was holding the Webway open and building into it. - On top of that, Magnus said he has "broken his heart", that's not how you describe betraying your commander or your leader. That's how you describe betraying your own blood and your father, all because you were too prideful to listen when they told you to stop. - There are plenty of examples of the Emperor caring for his Primarchs, like how when they were still babies Malcador noticed that he stopped calling them his "subjects" but started saying his "sons". Or when Jaghtai asked Malcador why Big E didn't just make the Primarchs as obedient as the Custodes, to which he was told the decesion was made because "it would steal the joy of raising you all, Jaghtai." I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm just saying the Emperor is flawed in my opinion, but not truly evil
