Hi Darius, glad you liked the game! The reason that Trex doesn't eat the other dinosaurs is because losing Dinosaurs can be devastating. That's why the only real way to lose them is intentionally via manipulation cards or some of the Controlled Chaos species. You're right that it would have been cool to have the dinosaurs fight, we just couldn't make it work. Fun side note: My favorite manipulation card we removed from the game allowed you to parachute a dinosaur into an opponent's park wherever you chose. We had to remove it because after much testing, we found we could deal 50 VP worth of damage with a strategically placed parachuted T-Rex. It was just too mean, but we wish we had kept it since the artwork alone would have been magnificent.

@@allaroundtheboard First off, I loved your video. Very nice and succinct. You're very right that there's a lot of things to keep track of, but the gameplay is fairly easy to follow. Get money somehow, get fences, get dinosaurs for points. It's a nice circle. Given what you like about the game, I think you're gonna love the expansion. It gives a LOT more endgame scoring options, and includes several interesting ways to run a disreputable park.

@@CountDewkeww best thing to do is to wait for the newsletter. Dinogenics isnt going to retail any time soon. In an interview, richard said that publishers have politely refused after they saw the manufacturing quote.

Great review and walk through. My wife and I had this on our shelf for 3 years and were intimidated by it. You made it easy to setup, and after a few turns we were really into it.

Ah yes I agree with you on the Dinosaur Island comment. I'm really not a fan of that game, yet dinos are my favourite theme, so it was nice to get a decent Dino game 😁
