As you're entering the park, they still have the dragon and dinos on the benches, too, to the right of the entrance. I noticed that on my last visit there for Earth Day.

Thanks for the video, Micah. I get some people don't like or get the kitsch of Chester & Hester's, but Dinosaurs as a species are timeless as is the Dino-Institute. As Walt would do, they should plus the park and create an entirely new Indiana Jones ride and keep Dinosaur but with a new storyline. Kids still love dinosaurs, and dinos are embedded throughout Disney history. It's a no-brainer. Start a signed petition to keep Dinosaurs from going extinct a 2nd time - I'll be the 1st to sign it. You have the power in The World of Micah. Also, I swear I saw you at DAK that day, but didn't realize it until I saw your video 3 days later once home. Keep up the fantastic vlogs!

Thank you for another great video! I remember going to Animal Kingdom when it was first opening and our tickets were half price because the park wasn’t complete. I’m sure I kept the park map, I need to dig through my treasures and see what was open. I remember very narrow walkways and everyone had rented double-wide strollers that were hard to pass. I remember that more than the attractions. 🤣

I’m excited for this. Animal Kingdom is my kids favorite park and I’ve been wondering if they were gonna get rid of Dino land for a while

That whole section never vibed with me. Dinosaur ride and theming is great but the carnival feel of the outside made it a walk-through.

Should have been a celebration of the depths of time, simulated prehistoric jungle safari, more awe and spectacle. Disney used to make award winning nature documentaries- Dinoland had so much potential, squandered and cheaped out.

This video as your capturing the little overlooked details, often missed great to see in a video that's saying good bye to such a cool part of the Animal Kingdom. Change is inevitable but, sometimes changes dont pan out to better. Thank you for all the awesome videos you share. Micah. Have a wonderful Wednesday.

Thanks for sharing Micah! Have Disney officially announced that the area is closing? Not sure how Indiana Jones is going to fit that area to be honest, would be far better suited to Hollywood Studios - they could have a total re theme of the area there and move Star Tours to Galaxy’s Edge to make room for the Indiana Jones dark ride. I also didn’t realise that the area’s floor was modelled on a car park to give it that roadside attraction look, at times Disney’s attention to detail is unmatched.

I love the dinosaur ride as someone from the west coast. When the land first opened they had a dinosaur they walked through, what happened to that ? Disney not investing more into dinosaurs in this land, when every child loves dinosaurs makes less sense than putting Indy in Animal kingdom where the animals are the antagonists. Really wish they had leaned into the mythical creatures more than just the broken Yeti😕

Well Universal has a similar themed land known as Jurassic Park that is more popular. Dino Land at Disney World is too similar to JP at Universal and ever since the first Jurassic World movie, the JP franchise has risen in popularity. Disney’s Dino themed land hasn’t been going through any updates or renovations since it first opened and the primeval whirl ride shut down was a first sign of the whole land closing down. Also Disney doesn’t want dinosaurs in the parks because when most people think of dinos, they think Jurassic Park which is owned by Disney’s arch-rival Universal.
