There's only a few guitar players where you can just feel the emotion and heart and soul in their solos and j mascis is one of them for me, also jimi hendrix, the bends and the noise and all of it, it doesn't feel mechanical or just another part of the song, it feels like words speaking to you without words, if that makes sense.

Well Lou Barlow once said that J didnt give a fuck about the audience and he would turn up the amps all the way. That was back in the day, i think it hasnt changed a bit hahahaha. J and the band have been using earplugs for the past 20 years so i wouldnt be too worried about them xD

They were playing at the same time man. That's like saying that The Byrds inspired The Beatles, or that Blue Cheer inspired Jimi Hendrix. By the time You're Living All Over Me was out, Nirvana had already started playing songs that would end up on Bleach live. They were both brilliant, but they didn't influence one another.

They didn't inspire Nirvana, Nirvana was already together when You're Living All Over Me came out. They were contemporaries, J was even offered the option to join Nirvana early on in its cycle (though he turned it down).
