I guess it doesn’t matter so much these days, but the Greatful Dead were an amazing live band that could never really have their genius captured in a studio setting. Before Jerry Garcia died I believe they were the top grossing touring band in the world for like 8 years straight. The were making more money on tours than The Rolling Stones and Aerosmith put together.

Check out Back foot and Thrash Metal Cassette. I’d never heard of them either, and I was on a fishing trip in Florida a few years ago and this one rock station kept playing Back Foot like every 4th song or so and it really annoyed me at first then I thought “this is a really catchy song…” and looked into more of their stuff and really like them. Any guitar player that plays a Gibson Explorer is worth listening to at least once in my book.
