@@whatcher8151 Actually at one point the doctor gave Ronnie a clean bill of health....and told him he could do whatever he wanted to do and we all thought he would go back with "Heaven & Hell" ( Black Sabbath but Sharon owned the name ) since he was back in the 20,000 seat arenas again making money hand over fist.....and we thought he would sock it away for his retirement! So, Wendy asked him....."What do you want to do?".....and Ronnie said "I want to write with Craig"! And we were writing for Magica II.....and I had a short 2 week tour to do....and he wanted me to do that one so he could write more to the story and then we could write songs around that like we did on the first one. But when I came back....he was in the hospital and was gone the very next day. Wendy cleared the room for me to go in and sit with him one on one as we always had done....and I really thought I was going to see him the next day! But he was gone! So, there is an unreleased song for Magica II..and I'm sure it will be released some day. But that was one of the saddest days of my life! Thank you for your kind words about the first one!! Means more than you know!!

I haven't emailed you about the second one yet because I wanted to wait until I could give it my full attention without any distractions..life has been a bit of a bear🐻 lately...but the grandkids (who live with me) are back in school now so i actually get a fee moments to myself now and then. I'm super stoked, I'm sure it will be brilliant. I did, however, just listen to the work you did with Jim Miller again...so damn cool! I agree. Must add my two cents regarding Goldy's playing: he sounded a bit messy to me on Dream Evil , but he cleaned up and tightened his playing a lot on Magica and Master of the Moon. Much more mature and disciplined playing.

This became an inside industry standard when the record company affiliates in Japan started to notice their own people were ordering American imports instead of the local release. So an extra track was utilized to stimulate potential sales in Japan thereby keeping the money paid for this album stayed in Japan's economy.....and not sent elsewhere!! Just thought it might be cool to know why!! You probably already know!! Ha ha!! But what the heck why not give it a shot that if you do.....someone else will read this and will know the reason and not just the action!

@@MrAdriancooke In the 80's in Japan....the people loved American musicians...and if they can get their hands on an American product of their favorite American musicians....it feels more special than a local Japanese "copy"! So.....the record companies started to try and figure out how to get them to buy Japanese products of their favorite American musicians in order to keep that money in Japan. And they came up with an extra track that is only available in Japan. And yes.....they started asking everyone to write and record an extra track for Japan. And we happily obliged them since most American musicians have contracts with the Japanese record companies in which to obtain money made from sales in Japan. The extra track made up for the American end that would normally be a smaller percentage if not for the extra track. It seemed to be a "win win"! That's the best way I can describe it!! Hope that helps!!

stluciestrength This was a bonus track on the Japanese release of Magica back in 2000, the song was not available in America on a physical release until Niji Entertainment (Dio’s wife Wendy’s label) reissued Magica In 2013 as a double CD that also included some live versions from the 2000 tour.

@blazedchevy I'm so very sorry about your Nephews! May I ask how they passed? It's ok if you don't want to say.....God Bless you and your family! Death is never sent an invitation. And we all will die at some point.....it's not if ...but when and how.....heartless circumstances are the main cause that people have the hardest time with. And God seems so far away at that point. There WILL be a final count and accountability for all.....and your Nephews .....you shall see them again. Even if we have a total understanding of why our loved ones are taken and why......it's still heart breaking! We miss them more than ever! And no one wishes a painful, frightening or cruel death on a loved one.....and it's even harder to think "Oh this is God's will"! Just like the Military who come back from war with missing arms and legs who would go back if they could understand fully about sacrifice for the greater good. Since God says that he knew us before we were even formed in our Mother's womb.....and the hall of Souls in Heaven that await life on Earth for the very first time......it is my belief that your Nephews are the Noblest of all....they chose to die in such a way.....that makes us ponder on the fragility of life to the point of counting our blessings ....and choosing to be grateful for what we have....is actually their goal for their time on this Earth. And what greater sacrifice than to choose beforehand to die before your time in the eyes of the world and your family in order to keep us all in check! They shall have their reward....and great shall that reward be!! It's the outcome of our existence that we hope profoundly affect others in a way in which steers them in the direction that they might otherwise have missed!
