Strange Highways is my favorite Dio CD, is very Doom Metal, very aggressive, is a shame that the record don't have the recognition than deserve.

@@hmrvargas I love it too. To not even get a music video shows the lack of promotion. Especially while MTV still played them.

I know I'm in the minority here but RJDs 4 album run - Lock Up The Wolves, Dehumanizer, Strange Highways and Angry Machines are my absolute favorite things he did. Got to see them in '94 at the Button South in Ft. Lauderdale and it was one of the greatest shows I've ever been to 🤘

Its all good bro and its personal too. You are definitely born in the 90s if you are honest? Im an 80s guy so yes i like em all really except half of Angry M. Also i think getting Tracy G.was an attempt from Dio to"modernize" his music but it brought him to the night club circuit as early as the 90s. Night clubs circuit is big now for legendary bands that were not in the A league first but a guy like him playing 300 something people on Angry Machine tour...whhooa. Take care bro

I wished Dio would have continued this style into the 2000s 🤘

He would have gone bankrupt. These albums lost money. The tour for Angry Machines wasn't good either.

I understand Dio's decision to go back to the old style a bit. "Magica", is quirky and therefore interesting, but not the "Holy Diver" of the year 2000 as Ronnie James Dio claimed it to be. "Killing the Dragon" for me is like a "Sacred Heart part 2", but not THAT bad. "Master of the Moon" and Heaven & Hell's "The Devil You Know" were a push in the right direction, I like them very much. And then sadly it was over....

These LPs came out during the grunge hay day. Priest Maiden Sabbath and even ozzy had poor album sales in the 90s. Strange Highways kicks ass. Angry Machines is great too. I dont remember if Craig Goldy is on that one
