I don’t know what took us so long to do this one. Such an iconic riff. I was able to dig up some live performances of the song with Vivian Campbell playing it and fortunately he keeps it pretty close to the original recording. The part with the repeating pattern was a bit of a challenge because while it seems like a repeating pattern, it’s a little different each time. I wouldn’t worry about it if you were playing it live or anything but I really tried to keep it as close to the way Vivian played it on the album. 🤘

I’ve found Vivian’s soloing very hard to play, not sure what it is about him but yeah, it’s that stuff like that so called repeating pattern, real cool, really tough to learn cause it is different the whole way thru.

I play guitar but for me Ronnie is one of the greatest heavy metal vocalist that ever lived on this planet. I was reluctant to learn this song because there's so many inaccurate tabs out there. But with transcription Mr. tabs I can attest that have confidence re learning this song. Thanks

I saw Dio on the Holy Diver tour. Beginning of the show he had an optical illusion. I think it was a floating cube or something. Very strange. Still havent figured that one out. Vivian Canpbell was awsome.

Great solo, I think Vivian was 20'ish or so when he recorded it. His work with Dio at that young age is pretty impressive. I followed his career after Dio, was really looking forward to his Riverdogs band, but I remember being a bit disappointed in it. I need to revisit that band, it's been quite a while since I gave them a spin.

They just never made an impression on me, but this video reminded me "oh yeah, Vivian had his Riverdogs band, I should give them another go..." Sometimes music can make some type of impression later on when you listen to it again.
