@@bubble_ross From what I understand, DIO actually never lost those powers. They just weren't as effective thanks to Jonathan's body rejecting him and they weren't useful in a Stand battle (That last part is from a novel of questionable canonicty but it does make sense). After all, DIO can still regenerate thanks to his vampiric nature and the flesh bud maneuver is caused by said vampiric nature. It is also never said he lost them anywhere in the manga or the anime just that they aren't nearly as powerful as it used to be. The logic DB used here is that if they aren't as effective because the body was rejecting him, then the problem should be fixed after getting Jojo's blood. That and diminished versions of the powers should still be enough to help DIO to overwhelm Alucard.

Where as I don't think stands are nearly that powerful or people who survive getting punched by them are nearly that durable. It was still a cool fight, and honestly I was rooting for dio *and* i didn't think he stood a chance. But I still think those metrics can get a little silly.

The only problem I have with the fight is when Dio bites the gun and gets his brain blown out. Like Jotaro punched a chunk out and it made him unable to move for a few secs. Tho I understand that it wouldn’t change the results in the end and was more for looks

All is well, but to say his heart is an insta death is incorrect. Tho in this case it was presented fine. The heart merely ends that Current life, he can revive from it as we have seen him come back from a puddle of blood. But as I said in this case it was handled fine since as Alucard's heart was destroyed, so was all the extra blood & souls. Good Job Everyone Who Worked On This!

Alucard has still been shown to not die when pierced in the heart with the stake of Helena by Anderson while at level 0, and he lived. I don't know where anyone gets the idea that his souls are what makes him immortal. The anime/manga literally disproves that.

Alucard is incorporeal, his true body exists elseware, even with his army summoned his shadow body will regenerate no matter the damage and this has nothing to do with schrodinger or letting his souls out. DB really fked this one up.

When faced with his human flaws he decided it was best for his order if he took his life in-sake of victory. There is also nothing saying this isn't a divine gift as stated by Anderson himself, tho Alucard never thought him to be a monster of any form as he still agonized over his actions when striking the nail into his chest. The heart's destruction is what negates their supernatural powers. Anderson, not being like Alucard who had millions of souls, dies instantly-where as we see Alucard regenerated from scraps of flesh many times over & by Anderson's own words: [summed by memory] "his heart is his weak spot (Stated around the time he releases level 0)." & also the order understands the only way to 'defeat' Alucard is literally by taking him out of existence. Hence the existence of Schrödinger. I take that as fact by the way of how Anderson seems to understand just as much about Alucard as he himself & Integra. Anderson also became, using the the Nail of Helena, (in the words of Alucard) a Monster of God. Seeing that it makes sense that Anderson too survived as long as he did in the state he was, as he had turned monster using an item literally stained in blessed blood and in the name of god, directly opposite of Alucard, be that part or not it's a nice touch, but in the end just because it didn't kill either by interaction as monsters, doesn't mean it'll kill them on action of interaction, as it is stated many times that Alucard's kind of immortality can be killed but most blessed items even as the direct weakness to him, are still weak in effectiveness within certain battles. Tho this did almost defeat Alucard in the end, it was just a matter of events cut short quite literally. After rewatching, I do think Alucard was majorly outclassed. Better vampire but no way he'd be bale to keep up with Dio. I will say however that they messed up. In a previous episode(Jotaro vs Kenshiro) that Silver Chariot's Cutting Hanged Man Feat was close but not Light Speed, but in this episode use it as evidence of Dio being Fatser Than Light which is something. And comparing The World to Stone Free isn't really all that fair considering the inconsistencies of Stone Free from what I've seen.

Also. How would alucard not figure out dio’s weakness to sunlight. He’s literally assuming he is a vampire and that’s their standard weakness until proven otherwise. You guys literally used his guns and level zero and gave dio a stand and his vampire powes which he never used aside from regen.

I mean, even DIO said it himself that a well placed headshot is enough to kill him as Alucard's bullets are explosive which should have destroyed the brain and the brain stem. Only reason he survived the cop bullet and silver chariot rapier is because they didn't do enough damage to the brain.

Literally a hole in a full concrete wall, with enough space for an entire person to walk through was created within like the second episode, just with 1 shot. @@pum8661 still, everyone acts as if they nerfed them so much that it caused Dio to win. Even if they had this supposed full power, I doubt they would change much. Think of a person that is allergic to peanuts. It can kill them, but if they actively seek to avoid them, the chances are very low of killing them. Silver Chariot almost killed Dio because JP took him by surprise, but here Alucard had Dio's full attention. I'm more surprised that some of Alucard's other powers didn't kill him, not the goddamned guns. Additionally it is the only thing I see consistently pop up around here and the DBX after this came out. "Hurr durr the guns"

I'm just conflicted about dio having both his arc 1 and arc 3 powers. He never demonstrated that he had both at the same time. And he was obviously much more durable in arc 1 with that whole, "this body is not completely mine yet," stuff in arc 3 making him feel the real side effects of damage. Unlike how he literally got cut in half and chopped off his own head before and he was completely fine.

I think it was assumed that this was DIO after drinking Joseph’s blood, and after doing that he’s completely claimed Johnathon’s body and such. So while he never uses the weirder vampire powers before immediately dying, it’d at least make sense.

@Yol Riin Lask Schrodinger sliced his head off to join in the "Get some sip" because those were his orders from ze Major as that was the plan. That's why Schrodinger didn't go for attack on either Alucard or Police Girl. But Conquest is right about another thing. Alucard never uses level 0 in a 1v1 fight as he only used it to wipe out Millennium and 9th Crusade armies. He then reverted back to his normal self when he faced Anderson who then expunged his extra lives when he impaled himself with the nail that crucified Jesus in a last ditch effort to defeat him... didn't work and still was able to fight against Walter just fine without the extra lives up until he went and got himself some sip by feasting on the blood of the vanquished in the battle to replenish his expunged stores of extra lives which then Schrodinger spiked the drink and we get the Schrodinger Alucard that we have now.

Question: Could've Dio died from blood lost or his head being destroyed before he can heal from Alucard trump card? He would have been overwhelmed from all of Alucard attacks. Even if Alucard's bullet didn't stop his healing factor, it still cause damages. Even with Dio fast attacks, he wouldn't be able to block all of millions of dead bodies attacks. Even with time stop, it's won't let him dodge those attacks. Similar to Jotaro couldn't dodge bug eater's attack. Another example when Jotaro fought Justice. Even though he hit all her zombie, he couldn't dodge or see one of them attacking him. Shouldn't Alucard be able to do the same thing? Get a good hit in Dio, control his blood and blow him up from the inside? It can work to due to Dio needing blood to heal and Alucard years of experiences being able to figuring it out and exploding that weakness.

Could Bug Eaten projectiles and the Zombie be on a higher or similar level to Jotaro then? If you want to downplay or assume something is inconsistent, it has to be based on something you are 100% sure is weaker. Like if when focused Jotaro couldn't stop a bullet or lightning? Because you know how fast lightning is. And it has a fixed speed. We had other stands and abilities in Jojo with evidence for lightspeed attacking. Red Stone of Anja, The Sun and Red Hot Chilli Pepper. I am not sure if Alucard can blow someone up from the inside despite blood manipulation, because it would have been a quick kill on anyone he has ever faced.

While it might be possible, it isn't a guaranteed thing. DIO has way more options of ending and overwhelming Alucard than the other way around. It is why he is the winner, because he would win most of the fights thanks to being vastly more powerful and stronger and having abilities that Alucard has no counter for while DIO has counters to most of his. Plus, DIO can always stop time, drink the blood of the familiars, and regenerate immediately. And not only can he spam this method, time stop will last longer with every time he does spam it.

Because Alucard's army are made of blood, each zombie Dio kills also heals him, leaving Alucard with net zero damage done to Dio. As for Jotaro's inability to dodge Bug Eater's bullets, Jotaro is still human and only had human levels of reaction time to manually activate SP:TW, not to mention that the times Jotaro got hit were from ricochet or decoys (He got outsmarted, not out-sped). Having surpassed human limitations, Dio's actual reaction time would be a lot better. And because of his lack of human limitations, he can use timestop for an increasing amount of time as he keeps using it. I am also surprised by Dio's victory over the more experienced Alucard, but Dio's vampirism works a lot differently than Hellsing's vampires.

You made a decent argument for Alucard to win in one situation: Dio being hit by zombies and Alucard taking control over Dio’s blood. Problem is that Dio’s speed and Stan/Time Stop mean that this particular set of events happening is on the low end. DB chooses based on who would win in most fights.

You guys did a great job with this fight. I was all the way in the Alucard boat up until you mentioned Dio being able to scale to the meteor punching feat. Because, the big thing with me was yes Dio was faster. Yes Dio had a Stand that Alucard couldn't do much about. But, before I knew of the Meteor thing, I didn't think Dio could do enough damage to Alucard to matter before Alucard just overwhelmed him. You did a great job convincing me that Dio should win this fight, despite me really wanting Alucard to beat him. I will say, there are two points I do disagree with in your research about for both characters. 1, on Dio's side, I don't think the power of that laser is as powerful as it seems. Yes it moved the clouds, but it also impaled JoJo's arms. If it was that powerful, JoJo would have been vaporized. Seems very inconsistent. 2, on Alucard's side (and this is more for the animation than anything now that I think on it), I don't think you covered enough of the versatility of Alucard's Soul Stealing ability. I think the fight would have played out a bit differently if Alucard was allowed to have the powers of Alhambra and Winkle and the countless other stronger beings within him helping him along. Here's the kicker though, these changes wouldn't have changed the outcome. Dio being Faster, Stronger, and with more OP abilities than the most OP vampire in cinematic history is just kinda...well...JoJo. It's why I can't really stand JoJo. The plot armor and auto-cannibalistic writing and inconsistencies in powers and world (at least up to part 3) are so bad, it gets deep under my skin. Edit: OH! One last thing about the research, and this one's a bit bigger because it could have a dramatic change on the outcome of some skirmishes. Dio would not be able to mind control Alucard. I don't really understand why you said he could. It's been shown in Hellsing that even lesser, incomplete Vampires can shake off mind control and illusions just by realizing that they can. That was a strange comment to make, and I would be interested to know why you think Dio could have that kind of power over Alucard.

The reason DIO could hypnotize Alucard is because, as they explained, Alucard has to actively be using his Third Eye to resist the hypnosis and he was even hypnotized at one point. DIO, being the more powerful vampire, would stand to rights that he could hypnotize a "weaker" vampire

​@@dylancross1039 I never really thought "The Third Eye" was something that needed to be turned on and off. It was just the supernatural senses of a true vampire. We saw Ceres open her eye, but Alucard (and Ceres after that) never stopped being as perceptive as they were when they opened it after. On top of that, the battle would have started, powers would be used, the "Eye" would be opened anyway. On top of that, honestly, I'm not even 100% convinced that Alucard shouldn't be able to see the Stand. But I can also see how there's no evidence (that I know of) that said he could either.

So, quick question. Nearcthe end, Dio stole some of Alucard's blood the same way he did Joseph. So....wouldn't he be under the same effect that Schrodinger had on Alucard? Alucard's blood is literally parts of the souls in his possession, and Schrodinger encompasses all of those souls. So would Dio have to deal with Schrodinger's ability himself?

This is not an inherit ability/resistance of Alucard, it is due to the 3rd Eye and must be used consciously, as Alucard was unable to see through Tubalcain's illusionary clones. Similarly, Seras was unable to see through Zorin's illusions until told outright that's what they were. Which is a problem as DIO’s hypnotism activates at a glance, and due to the Time Stop and the sheer speed difference, making Alucard vulnerable to such a hypnosis.

So, Alucard's bullets from the jackal contain mercury which works against regenerators. Why wouldn't those work against Dio's healing factor?

Because Mercury helps against regeneration, poisoning the cells and whatnot, but when you can regenerate bowling ball sized holes in your sternum, gunna need more than Mercury to slow that down. To be honest, with the holes Alucard's guns punch in people, the Mercury is kind of a moot point anyway.
