This video would have been very helpful when assembling my Phecda laser a couple of weeks ago. Very little shipping volume was saved by shipping a kit that needs so much assembly. Elegoo customers would pay more to receive an assembled laser to which they attach the laser head and the feet. The ends of the timing belts all detached when I was assembling my Phecda laser and that required 30 minutes of fiddly work to reattach them and tension the belts. The laser mount was loose on the gantry so I needed to adjust the eccentric rollers before use. I don't think the exhaust fan does much so a real exhaust/filter is needed, so I wish Elegoo hadn't provided an inadequate solution. The laser guarding is also insufficient so I'll build an enclosure for the Phecda that contains the smoke and stray laser light. It would be great if there was a shorted connector on the board where I could connect a normally open switch that must be closed to enable the laser so I could connect it to the lid of my homemade laser enclosure to require the lid to be closed before the laser will operate. All that said, Elegoo gets a lot of credit for keeping such a low price on their first laser engraver. There is a lot to like here, and it's a good tool for occasional laser users or those just starting to use a laser for their hobby or their small business.

How and what?

Best thing to do is remove the fan and filter as they are a waste of time. The fire sensors are also pointless so can be removed. Then you can easily add limit switches.
