the Belmonts weren't with Dion at this time, i'm not sure why they split up but Fred died in 2012 and Carlo i 2016, Angelo and Dion are still alive

Dion split with Belmonts in 1960, had a few solo hits with a female backing group, like "Lonely Teenager", then acquired the Del Satins as his backing group, for his big hits and not so big hits, left Laurie records and signed to Columbia Records in late 1962, where he had hits like "This little girl" "Drip Drop", but after healing from heroin addiction came back to Laurie for Abraham Martin and John going to no.4 billboard charts, in September 1968 written by Dick Holler the day after Senator Robert Kennedy was assassinated.

​@@splattt8088 They split because they wanted to sing different styles of songs. Angelo said there was no fight they just talked about it and split apart they were still always friends. The Belmonts went on to make great songs that did great such as Tell Me Why, Such A Long Way, I Need Someone, Come On Little Angel, and much more! Its quite sad because the rock and roll hall of fame only added Dion despite the Belmonts having success 3-4 years after Dion left the group PLUS all the hits they helped Dion get during their time together. Classic dumb judges!

It's not Dion and the Belmonts. The backing vocals in the original recording (not in this video clip, which has none) were done by a group called The Del Satins, who chose to go uncredited in all the records they did as Dion's backup singers, like The Wanderer, Runaround Sue, Ruby Baby, and many others.
