Does he not do really good damage against bosses? He hits like a truck and his other abilities give him atk speed no?

Not really, because he's leaning towards aoe and the dedicated single target DDs are overall far better than him. He is solid for battle drills though, as you can clear normal waves, towers and do decent DMG on bosses.

I have him supreme+ but I can't recommend him tbh but if they ever bring out better buffing units so we don't have to use A level buffers for him he will be awesome

The supreme arena, u shouldn't use cascade spell, the initiall setup is enlightening spell which allows him to increase atk spd, plus 2 more buffs from smokey and lyca. That will instantly give him 3 stacks and he will be able to unlease his maximum potential there. My guess is, u might have won the first battle instead if you used the crescent artifact.
