Dior Eau Sauvage Vs Armani Eau Pour Homme (Comparison)

Love both the perfumes! Got both 50ml.. Armani eph with black bottom is a classic! Sends me back to the 80s. You're right.. Armani with black base is hard to find. Love from Bengaluru.

nice review but in this case I prefer the pour Homme from Armani, it have a typical italy tuscany feel

I wore Armani Eau Pour Homme for years until they stopped making it, Now I'm wearing the Eau Sauvage EDT & Parfum (2017) versions , so spot on with the likeness 👍👍👍👍

I have both, and both are citrus vintage CLASSICS. The oakmoss in the vintage versions make a BIG difference...Great review, as always Joy 👏

Hi Amin, I’m like you a frag collector. I don’t own as much as you by far but I like my over 100 frag collection. I wear all my fragrances regularly and when I use Eau Sauvage it’s like coming home. After all these years it’s still so good and classy. Fresh, green, sweet barbershop with a perfect dry down. Performance is decent on my skin. Sometimes I layer it with the parfum. A great combo. Great video, brother! I love refined classics like these. They smell of traditional, italian perfumery and they make me feel so bold and classy! :P They are both incredible to me but if I have to choose, I choose the Armani. It has good memories and sentimental value attached as I still have 15-20 ml left in my vintage bottle!

Christian Dior's Eau Sauvage is just truly Iconic - It makes Tom Ford's Grey Vetiver EDP, ( which I love ) seem very average ! I think this is one of those times where price is a non issue... Many thanks for making all of your very good and interesting videos. .......Oh, and I think you're right - Not absolutely everything has got to be "Beast Mode".

Good review.. I tried both in store .. Armani is a little bit earthy than Dior … Dior smells very clean but is totally gone by 2-3 hrs .. Chanel pour Monsieur edp has the best performance.. it doesn’t project much but stays close to skin for 8+ hours .. dry down is more vanilla than others… Have u tried Tom Ford Beau De Jour ? Thats the beast category in classic smells … it lasts for 12 hrs easily… it opening is more lavender but dry down is nice and smooth …

My goodness, you only get 3 hours longevity from Dior Eau Sauvage EDT? I've worn it often and get FAR longer longevity every single time. It actually performs very well so I never have understood why people report poor performance. It's my second favorite fragrance out of my ~200 bottles. I have the Armani Pour Homme also, and it's not very close to Eau Sauvage outside of being a citrus Aromatic. Dior Eau Sauvage EDT is FAR better in every way for me, and objectively is FAR more of a recognized classic masterpiece. As for vintage vs. modern, someone once told me that they had worn it since the 1980's and their father had worn it before that, and the modern version was not very different then the vintage. I'm inclined to believe that because I think in general the protestations that vintage is so much better are overblown. I have a newer bottle and an older 2002 bottle. The 2002 juice has turned just a little and is not as rich and full as the newer. Citrus typically turns first and since Eau Sauvage EDT is a citrus Aromatic it makes since.

Own and love both. Love the bottle design on both. The Armani is a bit closer to the original Acqua di parma but perhaps with better legs. Not sure I can decide which is better. I also have Chanel pour monsieur the edt is closest to these. The edp has a bit of a vanilla thing going on that keeps it out of comparison with the above mentioned

Dior is a classic but still contemporary barber shop frag. More suitable for last 20s. Love it.

Any known clones of Armani eau out there ? I had a good one from a Spanish company but can’t get it now because of brexit ☹️ is Versace lhomme comparible?

I got from perfume parlour in UK, thats quite a good clone...I am not sure there are many clones available, sadly

Versace L'Homme is a beautiful fragrance, but it's not like either of these at all. Monsieur de Givenchy and Chanel Pour Monsieur are fairly similar. For cheaper options, Moustache EDT or Capucci PH are in the same family, but not really that similar (the Capucci has really decent performance too)
