While I also struggled with the opening at first I love it now especially in high heat, the drydown is absolutely and undisputably major league, longevity is grest as well for an edt. This is a hidden gem and Demachy did a great job with this one, especially what he did with the elemi, aldehydes and frankincense. Glad your nose isn‘t as broken as some of these other reviewers, keep it up!

I actually bought the 2022 last weekend and have been wearing it since then. Here's what I can say 2017 is way more citrus. However it didn't last more than an hour on my skin. It also smelled like a fall or winter scent to me as well. I didn't get a sporty vibe from the 2017 either 2022 - there's is more of a balance between citrus and woods and they added in the aldehydes to keep it fresh. The 2017 is more citrus than fresh. 2022 is maintains that fresh smell. In the opening you get the woods, bergamot and lemon and aldehydes. About an hr the lemon fades away and you have everything else. The 2022 is sporty not in a modern way. But more of a classic sporty smell from the roaring 20s or maybe even 40s. I enjoy this very much!

I think this version of homme sport is amazing. The sparkling citrus/ fresh top is great imo. There’s a little TDH vibe for the first 10-30 minutes, which i think owes to the pink pepper/ elemi combo. Definitely some frankincense (or adjacent) element as well. I agree it’s sweeter than 2017, but it’s a mild sweetness like homme 2020. This actually feels close to homme 2020 in the late drydown-like a cousin. Also, like 5-6 hours into the drydown when I get warm this just radiates off of me, which took me by surprise the first time.

Hello, I need to be sure about this, when it comes to sport, a light perfume that is suitable for use in any place or when going to breakfast comes to mind, in my opinion, a simple, ordinary and low-sillage perfume would be suitable for a dinner and afterwards, am I wrong? What could be the alternatives? I am waiting for your recommendations, something sexy that will not be too fresh and has variable accords and notes, not too childish and not too fruity. Thank you.

I've had the 2008, the 2012 and the 2017 and I loved all of them.. This one is really different and I bought today and I hope it will get the same amount of compliments all the rest had.

I sincerely didn't think I was going to like it as much as I do. I originally preferred Dior Homme 2020, but once I got a full bottle of Homme Sport 2021/22, I really started noticing the aldehydes that make it almost fizzy. Almost like pop rocks, they make you feel better. Therefore making me like this one much better.

Same here, I think though they're similar in some ways, there are subtleties that set them apart enough to justify having both. To me DH Sport is the livelier and more adventurous brother of DH 2020 which smells like the more relaxed and easy-going one

It reminds me of sauvage elixir... and that is what it is a fresher elixir... and the thing that you called "weirdness" it's the charm and the orignality of this fragrance... they allready have the mass appealing sauvages... it has to have something original. Even though it resembles a bit after you spray it with l'eau dissey.

I've already tried it on my wrist. two things I can say about this fragrance. super long lasting and the scent is great. I would call it woody citrusy with wood in the front and citrus on the background. very classy. highly recommend it

​@@qwertyuiop6608Nothing like any of the BDC flankers. This is fresh citrus with a hint of woodiness and pepper spiciness. Excellent perfume, please sample. For me, it blows BDC out of the water and lasts pretty long for an EDT. My absolute favourite designer fragrance right now

I hear it’s somewhat of a more citrusy and a little less woody version of the Dior Homme 2020. I would love to try it out, nonetheless, and will smell great with it. I hear the elemi in it, however, is like a type of piney incense, which sounds nice, masculine and refreshing to me. I love your genuine enjoyment of the Dior line, it seems.

I hope they turn the 2017 version into an "original" fragrance like they did with Dior Homme 2011 because it's a really good elegant fragrance. The new version is still good, but they made it more wearable like you said. I was off put by it at first too but I also like how modern it is.

Not all have the same fragrance scent. My advise after you have purchased immediately test it in front of the merchandise to be sure cause some store have its original some are not!

I don't even give a shit too much about fragrances anymore, but I still watch her videos cause they are so damn soothing . Anyone else feel that way , like you're almost watching ASMR or something? Or am I the only weirdo. I liked the original dior sport, the citrus and the ginger combo is what made it amazing.. The 2017 still had a warm sweet ginger mixed with the blood orange kind of scent.. Sounds like this one got away from it completely

The 2017 is my to go summer scent. It is fresh, citrusy and a little bit woody. It has a good projection and lasts about 7 hour. And my preferred scent of the Homme Line. Sadly they changed the scent. I will give it a try.

I tried the 2022 on my skin, the seller gave me some good spays as I was getting Sauvage EDP which smells great. I could not stand the openning, no idea if it was the aldehyde notes or what but there is something "itchi" to my nose. It did not get any better after many hours and many smells, even my wife did not like it in any of the snifs she gave it. Well, 2017 version it is then...

To be honest i never smell the old version of homme sport, and i never smell this new version as well. I'm a man who never likes fresh or citrus scent, even when i was young. At 17 or 18 my first real fragrance is burberry london, till today. I don't care but to my nose it smells amazing, i always love dark mysterious smooth sweet vibe, inviting, warm, those kind of scent. I'm rocking burberry london and bvlgari man in black TO THE GYM. Anywhere and anytime. I also going to purchase givenchy gentleman reserve privee and hugo boss bottled elixir. Never ever i liked fresh or citrus scent, i love the bottle of jpg le beau and le male, trying my best to love them since i want the bottle, sniff it so many times with my heart, still can't like any jpg. So if this new dior homme sport more woody, maybe i finally can find a gym fragrance or summer fragrance that were not fresh or citrusy or not like a room and toilet cleaner. 😂

This one is fresher and more citrusy than woody compared to Dior Homme 2020. Dior Homme 2020 have become one of my favourite scents because of the modern, sour, woody scent. This one is a fresher take, where it is more citrusy than woody for me. And that automatically puts it in the same category as BDC, especially the parfum version. And even if I really like the sport flanker, nothing beats BDC in it’s category. If you want a fresh citrusy fragrance with wood notes in it, I would say go for BDC edp. If you wanna tone down the citruses but still have the woody notes, BDC parfum would be the best option. If you want to have something with the woods highlighted, but still accompanied with a fresh citrus smell, I’d say go for the Dior Homme 2020 version. TLDR: this one is competing with BDC Parfum in my eyes. The 2020 version does something BDC don’t have in it’s line.

I don’t like it. The citrus is too much. It’s concentrated. Smells like pine sol cleaner. Extremely sour. I wouldn’t wear this on a hot summer day at all. More appropriate for a spring/fall evening.

Always check frags on your skin. While DHS2022 smells fantastic on the paper strip, yet off my skin I've got very unpleasant aldehydic scent, it just reacts poorly with my skin. Which is pretty sad because I'll admit, performance is beastly and smell off paper strip is nice, but off my skin it smells just bad. Shame 🤷🏻‍♂️

It's very different. The allure is fresher because it has the mint. The 2022 dior homme uses aldehyde which is like a fresh air type of smell.
