I got yesterday the EDT and love it BUT it performs very poorly on me. I got only max 30min on my skin and it was gone. I sprayed Girl of now on the other arm and it lasted wayyyy longer.

So weird but the EDT did nothing for me and the EDP transports me to syrupy, sensual heaven. Sounds like I need to give EDT another chance though.

The EDT version of Poison Girl is too poor in performance for its price tag imo. My pick is definitely the EDP version too. A side note, I'm so surprised that no fragrance reviewer on KZbin have compared Dior Poison Girl to Elie Saab Girl of Now. On Fragrantica many ppl voted Poison Girl "reminds them" of Girl of Now. Personally I have both perfumes and I find them 95% similar to each other.

I don’t find them similar on my skin at all...based on notes they may look somewhat similar but girl of now on my skin is super syrupy orange blossom and it’s thick and heavy. Poison girl is sweet but more of a fluffy texture because of the tonka and heliotrope and the edp gives me more nutty almond then girl of now. Girl of now (on me) was not what I expected it wasn’t really nutty at all on me it was syrupy orange blossom

I definitely think Girl of Now and PG smells the same, at least gives me the same vibe which is why I never purchased the EDT or the EDP. Honestly, I just want the bottle 🤭

@@TRIADYA it can be for a number of reasons. I’m not going to articulate this properly it can be something to do with legal issues and the brand not actually owning the right to the formula. That’s also why things get reformulated. Can also be new safety guidelines on ingredients. I really don’t know why but I agree. The edp is the best out of the 3.

I was about to buy the poison girl EDP straight from the Dior site and told myself to see if there are any reviews on KZbin of these two. Poison girl EDT was my scent in Paris and I wore a sample of it there daily. I never bought the full bottle because it has zero projection and only lasts an hour tops on the skin. Now I'm wondering if I should just buy a sample of each to see how they compare. I'm excited to see

@@VANITYISFARE I think you could wear it day or evening but not to work. It’s a flirty fragrance so you could wear it evenings out, date night, Netflix and chill, or you could wear it during the day if you were going anywhere other then work. Shopping, brunch etc. The opening is loud but when it dries down it’s sweet and kind of soft like velvet so it’s pretty versatile.

The openings are where I notice most of the difference but the dry downs are very similar. I know you said GON smelled the same as poison girl but I didn't get that at all! you must be one of the lucky ones. GON was syrupy orange blossom on me and I got zero nuttiness. Poison girl (EDP) is sweet but with a fluffy/powdery texture instead of the syrupy texture that I get from GON which I much prefer.

I'm completely flipped. The edt is much louder, creamier and sweeter. You are actually the first person I've ever seen choose the edp. I'm so glad that I don't have projection or longevity issues with the edt. I'm glad you like them both. I won't repurchase the edp but the edt is a top 10 for life... for me. As always you look so pretty!

For me the dry downs are SOOo similar. And the EDT I had first but it didn’t last on me but I did love the smell of it. The edp lasts much longer and projects more but I’ve heard other people had the same problem with the EDT so maybe you are just one of the lucky ones... I’m pretty sure gabby loves perfumes, Paulina Schar and Karina all prefer the edp which is why when choosing I didn’t know which one to go for because some people prefer EDT and some prefer the EDT. I’m glad I tried both but performance for the EDT wasn’t there for me

i think it’s often misunderstood eau de toilette projects more generally and perfume sits closer to the skin. perfume is for skin, toilette is for clothing.

In your opinion, how would Prada Candy compare to these scents? I realize a big difference would be the almond note, but I just finished up my Candy EDP bottle, and looking for a new yummy gourmand scent to add to my collection!

If you like prada candy I think you will love this. Prada candy from what I remember was sweet and slightly powdery too but more of a baby powder vibe and the performance (for me) was horrible it disappeared on my skin. Prada was pretty simple and linear. Dior hypnotic poison performs way better and is sweet and flirty but also creamy and fluffy I feel like it has more going on then Prada candy did it also has a slight warmth which makes it kind of cozy in the dry down.
