DIOR’S NEW DIOR CARO POUCH WALLET ON CHAIN - WHY IS NO ONE TALKING ABOUT THIS BAG??

So... the Dior Caro Pouch wallet on chain. I have no idea why I haven't seen more people talk about this, because it looks like a beautiful and classic bag from Dior. With a larger-than-average capacity, a removable (!!) chain strap, and $500 less than the Chanel wallet on chain, this Dior bag seems like a excellent option if you're looking for a WOC. But I'd love to hear what you think! Do you think this a bag that will stay classic, or will it date like so many Dior bags do?

The reason was, the more it gets talked about, the more it will be in demand, so as a result: the more Dior will increase it's price. So, not being talked about is a choice by people who are interested 👀 (myself included)

An alternative to this pouch on chain is the Lady Dior Pouch which has the charms like the Lady Dior bag so logo wise it is likely to stand the test of time better. PLUS it's $100 less. The chain and charms are removable and the D rings are actually big enough that you can thread through the chain and make it a shoulder bag.

I’m contemplating this WOC for my next purchase. For the price of a Chanel WOC, I can almost buy 2 of these. I think it’s a better option all around. I’m not concerned about them not holding their value because I don’t sell my items and as long as I enjoy carrying them, they’re holding their value to me ☺️

Never heard of this bag! I would have considered it before getting the Chanel woc. Although Dior prices doesn’t hold its value so $2K+ for the Caro seems too expensive. I would consider a preloved one if there’s any.

I like it. 😊I have the Lady Dior pouch, so I don't need the Caro pouch, but it's very nice. I think the current logo looks great because it's small and symmetrical. I don't think it will hold it's value, but I also don't think that matters. 🤷🏻‍♀Partly indifferent to 'value' (how close I come to getting all of my money back if selling) because it's not a 6k bag. If I buy a Chanel bag that turns out doesn't work for me, I really don't want to be out $6k+. Of course this is still a lot, but it's not as scary if that makes sense. I also think classic shapes (clean lines, symmetry, etc) don't really go out of style, and we're seeing a lot of vintage dior right now. It all comes back around, and the secondhand price will adjust with those fluctuations.

Great points for sure. Resale value really doesn't matter as much to me either (especially as you said for ah, "less expensive" price points), but I wanted to mention it because I know it's something a lot of people consider. I do think it's a pretty classic style in general!

Naming conventions in luxury goods would be a great video for you to do. YSL also has nearly useless naming which makes it very hard to find specific pre-loved items. On the other hand, Coach names everything! And has seemingly forever.

At first I was drawn to the Mini Miss Caro Bag in the store. The strap is half leather and I felt like it wouldn’t hold up as nicely over time, and it’s not detachable, so I wouldn’t be able to use this as a clutch. I set my eyes on this one as I appreciate the detachable strap (and the length is great for shorter gals) I purchased this last week in Europe at a cheaper price point. I’m hoping this calfskin is a more durable choice for daily use!

I do think this is a nice bag and I saw it in person when I was looking for a small crossbody, but I wasn’t looking to spend over 2,000 so I didn’t really consider it. There were options that were just more reasonable from YSL and LV so I went with those, but if I was looking for a cannage piece I would definitely go with this as I bought the Caro belt pouch, but had to return it because it could barely hold my iPhone 12. This one would have fit my things much better, but like I said it wasn’t in my budget at the time. It will be in my wish list as I do want something from Dior.

Ah that Caro bag. I’ve been lusting over the medium rust colored one for a while now. And now that the color is back on the website, I am tempted. But the pouch puts me off due to the strap length. The chain is lovely but as a taller, curvy gal, it’s simply not long enough. To swap a different chain would lose some of its appeal. Also there’s something pillowy about the bag version that the pouch lacks.

I don't think so personally, but I do know that "older styles" of Dior tend to lose a lot of value in the preloved market, and that's what I was referring to.

I looked at this bag, but decided against it mainly because of the leather. It had a papery feel to it that didn't appeal. It didn't have that luxe feeling that you might get from a lady dior or bobby. Plus I think Dior cycles through these small SLG type bags quickly and I don't think it will be a classic.

I hate what Dior has become. We need John Galliano back at Dior and Tom Ford back at Gucci! I am so obsessed with so many vintage Dior pieces frok the Galliano era but they seem to be selling for upwards of 4k. For a vintage cloth bag i just couldnt bite the bullet.

This is a pretty bag, but I chose the Lady Dior top handle clutch. ❤ @styleluxandgrace. It has a top handle, the detachable chain with pearls, a Mona Lisa pocket and will fit your phone. Buttery lamb skin leather with the Dior charms on a magnetic closure. I have not seen anyone talking about this WOC and I see that it is now out of stock online.😮

Is bad price for a pochette. You can find a similar bag that is a clutch in Valextra. Valextra Iside. Leather is smooth! No that kitsch logo and 1,5 cm larger. A clutch is a larger pochette. Valextra has a better construction and is more pratic. And price and aestetich are also better! 🫠🤫
