Thanks for the honest review! I planned on buying the same in Indigo blue this summer. It will be my first designer bag. I chose it because of its uniqueness. I am hesitant though because of the exact same cons you mentioned. I'm so torn! 😅 but it is so beautiful!!

I love this review! It was so thorough! You already know that despite all the cons, I’m a ginormous fan of the saddle. I would buy it over bad over again. Thanks for sharing that there is color transfer from the interior. I noticed that from one of my LV bags with the cherry interior my air pods case which was white, I noticed the sides had turned red

Bag twins! 💕 despite the flaws, I’m still happy I have this bag because it’s so beautiful 😊 The only thing I was shocked about is the color transfer. Are you planning on getting an insert for it?

Using a telfar mini as a daily bag has totally made me reassess how much I actually need to carry lol. I use my dior saddle so much more, now. I still find the way it opens annoying but I can deal. Is it the most practical bag, no. Do I think every collector should have one, yes.

Love this review 😊 I’m hoping to pick one up for my birthday this year, but am torn between getting this in the Warm Taupe color, or the Prada Re-Edition 2005 in leather, Cameo Beige! Do you know if they fit about the same amount? The Prada fit so much when I tried it on in store, but I haven’t been able to try on the saddle yet!

Definitely the Prada re-edition because it fits more and is better for an everyday bag 😊 The saddle is beautiful but it’s harder to use. Hope that helps 🥰 ❤️

I was influenced to buy this bag 😂 I thought it was fugly bag when I first saw it. Now I think it’s cute but I just wanna get rid of it as it’s such a heavy bag. When I put just my essential stuff it gets really heavy which really puts me off from using it. When I want a shoulder bag I perfer my Celine triomphe shoulder bag 😊

You pegged all the items for why I actually sold mine off. I had the oblique with the embroidery. In some ways I miss the "look" but it was more annoying to use then I wanted to deal with. I do like the leather version has microfiber interior as mine did not have any lining.

@@carol8709 ohhh no 🤦🏻‍♀️! Ya my Fendi has thread on the sides so I have to cut the ones sticking out. I guess that’s just how fabric works, but it definitely makes the bag more delicate. I wish they figured a way to keep the look and cost the fabric so it’s more useable.

I used to worry about it going out of trend, but I do think the saddle is a Dior classic. It’s the same concept as the classic flap in the Chanel world. I definitely think it’s a forever ❤️

Awww...ya it’s always frustrating when we regret a big purchase. I still love my saddle but it’s not my everyday bag. But it’s an iconic piece 💜 You could always sell it, I wonder how the resell value is 🤔

I was set on getting the thinner strap but when I went to the boutique to try it on, I immediately knew the thicker strap was better. The thin strap doesn’t look as good on and the thicker strap matches the saddle better. Hope that helps 💕

In response to her complaints about slight flaws (stitching and glue, metal scratches, etc.) you have to remember when you buy luxury items you are NOT paying for good quality, you’re paying for the luxury NAME and status symbol. This is why luxury items are for actual rich people. Rich people arnt looking for little flaws. They just wear the bag, and buy 10 bags at one time 🤷🏽‍♂️

Lol the real rich people are actually more OCD. And what’s wrong with noticing the bag’s imperfections. Rich or not, the bag should be flawless for the price paid.

It depends on rich people too. Some rich people are known to be stingy. They will definitely take the bag back and make a huge scene. I worked in resorts and 5 star hotels, these are the usual behaviour of some rich customers.
