Homemade Pumpkin Scones | Fall Farmhouse Breakfast
Pumpkin Scones
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1/4 cup sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 TB pumpkin pie spice
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 stick cold butter, cubed
1/3 cup pumpkin puree
2 eggs
1/2 TB water
Directions:
Whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, pumpkin pie spice, and salt in large bowl.
Add cubed cold butter.
Mix pumpkin and one egg together and add to flour mixture.
Shape dough into a ball.
On a floured service press dough into a circle and slice into 8 wedges.
Place them on a pan lined with parchment paper in the freezer for 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 425.
Brush top of scones with the other egg and 1/2 TB water.
Sprinkle tops with sugar.
Bake scones for 15-18 minutes. (Oven times may vary.)
Make Cinnamon Drizzle
Ingredients:
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 TB heavy cream
Mix all ingredients together and drizzle over cooled scones.
