It is not her Choice because Quran forbids interfaith marriage. Verses2:221 and 60:10. She could not have married, had she not converted to Islam, so it is NOT a choice.

Nothing wrong though, but saying that she suddenly read Quran and chose it over Hinduism is bogus. Also, Muslims generally don’t marry non Muslims until they convert (atleast that’s what I have seen usually), so maybe she converted because she truly loved Shoaib.

So the thing is that in Islam the guy cannot marry a person from another religion cause that is considered haram(not allowed). Like other religions have their dos and donts, so does Islam. Now no one is forcing dipika to marry shoaib, but if she wants to marry him she has to change her religion for that marriage to be acceptable in Islam. So eventually it was her call, and she made a decision which we should respect and if you dont like that decision then ignore.
