Really preferred not to catch Diplo at festivals, but watching this set makes me appreciate him as a DJ. He really knows how to throw down outside of your typical pre-mixed "banger" sets and this goes to show how well-rounded he can be. Would love to see him spin some techno or progressive at some point. This set though is absolute FIRE and I wish I saw this sooner.

Saw Diplo for the first time in Philly over the summer. His set was more House music stuff. He is great at switching up styles. At one point back in the day his set was mostly Baltimore Club. Next thing I know has a set full of New Orleans Bounce Music. Now in this set I am hearing tons of Rio Funk music (Baile Funk). I suppose that's how he stay relevant. Looking at this crowd it is obvious that they are not familiar with Rio Funk style of music. Truth be told, that style is really only popular in Brazil but it's nice to see him giving it some play. Also I heard some Afro tunes in there as well. Not a bad set. But was it the set for this crowd?
