Thank You Fr.Dave for your clarifying to us about praying the Rosary. Allow me share what i understand about the Holy Rosary wjich is also subject for correction by.you if may mali o may idagdag man sa kaalaman ko. To me the rosary is more effective than asking directly all i wanted for to the Lord. The Lord knew what we wanted in life so instead of asking directly i pray without asking because in praying the rosary there we pray the Lords prayer which we staŕt to honor Him as our Almighty Father ( Jesus said this prayer when He prayed alone in the Garden of Gethsemane )and the context is already there of what we asked for which is the Bread of life for our body and soul. So when we say the prayer God will provide but we need to work for it dahil may kasabihan nasa Diyos ang awa nasa tao ang gawa. In every decade of the rosary beads there is 1 Our father and 10 Hail Mary's and 1 Glory Be. In the Hail Mary we honor Mary as the mother of God and we ask her to be our intercessor to her son Jesus Christ specially in the forgiveness of our sins . And the Glory be at the end after the the 10 Hail Mary is to me that we do the praying of it to Honor God(Recognizing the Holy Trinity) as our Divine Providence and the last we pray to Jesus for the forgiveness of our sins including those souls who are in purgatory who needs more cleansing and it is we the living who can only pray for them. We do this if possible everyday to have a deeper understanding of our relationship with God in Jesus name who is our Saviour and Redeemer of the Lord. Try to pray the rosary and meditate on all the mysteries mentioned in every decade would it be Sorrowful, Joyful, Glorious and the Luminous Mysteries... I tried praying the rosary and there's a difference mas nakatulog akong mabuti kung nakarosaryo kay sa wala. Nasa panamampalataya nyo iyan kung tayo'y toto-ong.naniniwala sa Diyos. Hindi kasalanan ang di magrosaryo depemde nman ito sapractices ng bawat relihiyon ang sa akin lang bilang katoliko this is one of my shield. Ang sa akin lang please walang hamakan sa pananampalataya we are all equal in the eyes of God.
