Had a yokai earlier today that didn’t give me any evidence for about 15 minutes. I decided to use the board to ask it it’s room. The ghost immediately says absolutely nothing, and me thinking that maybe it didn’t like the lights went to turn them off. However as soon as I did this the ghost started hunting and throwing a lot of items. I ended up just putting poltergeist and calling it a day

Last night someone said the ghost shut a door in their face as they went to hide so they got confused and ended up right in the ghosts arms. I honestly thought they were lying and couldn’t admit that they just had no idea where to go or where to hide .. until something similar happened to me in the next round 💀😂😭 I hid behind an open door like a pro and the ghost pushed it away from the wall and killed me.

Yep, ghosts now know of your location if you hide behind open door and they will open. At the time of you writing this comment it was possible to fight the ghost by constantly opening the door again, i don't know if its still the case.

Ight so I actually had something like this happen to me. I hid in the same closet for like the fourth time in a row and the ghost opened it but I slammed it shut on it which it then now knew where I was so opened the other door which I slammed close as well. I sat there for the entire hunt just closing each door back to to back as the ghost tried to get to me lol

Yeah because the game justifies it as breaking line of sight, which defaults your last seen location as just outside the locker generally xD

Oh I love this, I'd be all for some form of taunting to be added for the ghosts after kills. Probably a line to walk there, much as the game isn't exactly super serious, we can't just have the ghost start tossing the bodies around like random objects.. but like a laugh or something behind a random (still living) person, I think something like that could be an amazing touch.

maybe as the person is choking (death animation), there's a quiet laugh that comes from all sides, and an animation where the ghost appears for a split second and is choking them

It would be nice if they could find some (hopefully not game breaking) additions for dead players, though. Maybe if the ghosts were a little harder they could let dead players try to interact with the ghosts in some way, chance of distracting them in a hunt or something like that.

Actually, the ghost can pass through them when closed, it's just that closing a door breaks line of sight with the ghost.

@@ponidjob_sharp1434 Yes, even in beta. Just because the ghost tries opening a door doesn't mean it's walking into the room. It now opens almost any door that it walks by. Also, when you shut a door in the ghost's face, it loses line of sight of you and so the ghost recalculates its pathing, which might make it seem like it can't come through a door you close. If it decides to walk into a room with a closed door, it will go through the door. There might be an exception to this with closet and locker doors though.

Not sure if they've fixed it yet but if you haven't done it yet you should do one about the ghost not being able to kill you no matter how hard it tries if you're hiding behind tipped over bookshelves and cabinets that are leaning against something. The same goes for the attic if there's something like a box that's sitting against the roof that you can slip behind as the angle of the roof prevents it from getting close enough to grab you.

Someone didnt read the patch notes. Ghosts cant pass through closet and locker doors anymore and they cant open them if you're holding them shut. This doesnt work with room doors, however.
