Macabre is one of my favourite albums from the early Dir en grey years. It’s truly impressive that on their 2nd album they were writing songs with such complex instrumentation and odd time changes . they are incredible musicians!! The chorus is so beautiful even though I’m sure it’s not a cheerful song , I still love Dir en grey regardless

I'm blown away by how well they can make it sound just as great as it did then. Back when audio quality wasn't as great and the only way we knew they existed was through file-sharing software like Imesh, this was my first introduction to Dir en grey. 脈はサビ以外は変拍子のオンパレードでリズムが取りづらい楽曲だけど世界観を演出する為に敢えてそうしたんだと思う。 しかしドラマのタイアップにもなったポップで爽やかな予感から一転、明らかに一般受けしないであろうこの曲をシングルで出すあたりがさすがDIR EN GREYという感じ。 ain't~からのFILTHなんかもインパクト大きかったしね。
