Thank you sister Fadxiya for your efforts by giving some update of the indelible history of the beautiful city of Dire Dewa. BTW, I see now that is the mosque in which Italians helped to build in 1940s when they occupied the city. They were realy much kinder and better than amharas and Habashas who used to destroy mosques only to erect churches in their foundations.

This is one of the best documentary film on Dire Dawa, my beloved city where I was born,grew up, studied in its various schools until I left it 50 years ago. HOWEVER, the commentator whilst narrating the picture of the place is not matching together and relates to a diffrent area. You need to rectify that to gain the admiration and appreciation of the guest watching. Finally, my best gratitude goes to those who spent their time and money to make this doc available. The name Dire Dawa itself originates from the Oromo language, and the city is situated within the Oromia region. Additionally, the Oromo population has been predominant in the area for over a hundred years, well before the establishment of Dire Dawa. I don’t know how that makes it a Somali city.
