I volunteer at a wild animal rehab center and we get fresh water species of turtles with similar injuries from lawnmowers, dogs, and being hit by cars. one female red ear slider has a hole in the side of her shell and you can see some of her organs inside but they are intact so shes going to need to be looked after for a while. she even laid eggs and we released the babies in local ponds since they are native. it takes a long time but they are tough little creatures and i'm sure that sea turtle will recover no problem

7:49 So much so for releasing this turtle back into the wild fun fact is he is a test subject and his privacy also doesn't matter mankind is hungry for data be it human or wildlife.
