Thanks for the guide Old Guardian, will most definitely use this when playing Ysera. For people working on their Bats / Headless Horseman challenges; don't bring Ysera up to Gold immediately though. Use the low level dungeon (first map) to grind out the Challenges first! - Win Dungeon Battles with Dire Batlings or Headless Horseman (10 total) - Attack Bosses or Barracks with Dire Batlings (150x) - Take Towers or Meeting Stones with the Headless Horseman (30x) At the same time you'll automatically contribute to the 'Play Limited Time Hallow's End Minis (400x)' as well Very easy to knock out on the first map (and reset!) with level 5 adversaries. Even with just unlocked mini's they'll be a high enough level to survive long enough for some ticks to the challenges.

For attacking towers, note each bat attack from the squad counts. So if you sent the bats, pop a quilboar on the other side of the tower to tank, you will get like 30-50 attacks per tower. Depends on your bat level. If they are lower it's actually better because they need to hit more. You can do this quest in 3-4 runs.

@@IgnisNatus It doesn`t matter, just put minis for defense. I don`t use bats, just for achive. So key mini is Quil and bats. send bats, then put down Quil to tank. Rest is random. You can play any map. doesn`t need to be the event map. Foe example I did last dungeon map, in second phase, where we have acid. my minis would just die. So I would send bats + quil to tank tower, defend with my other minis, let them die, let the AI retake tower and repeat. Was pretty fast.

I did the 'Take Towers with HHM' by spamming Gazlowe in The Barrens on Heroic. HHM simply solo's the run so you cycle through some random units and put down 1-2 HHM to easily get 2 Tower-kills within a minute. For the 'attack towers or bosses with Dire Batlings', go for Heroic Whitemain in Lordaeron. Only attack the caster on the left, try and use something like Fire Elemental + Shaman, HHM and Dire Batlings. You easily get 200-250 Poison applications per run and finish the 'attack with Dire batwings' withing 1-2 runs.

If you happened to not have the "Win Dungeon battles with Dire Batlings" done by now, this is a super easy way to do it, and you only would be required to use them on the first 4 runs, then you could swap to something stronger if you need/want to.

Fully completed her dungeon with Darkspear Troll (poison) Dryad (Barrage) and Abom (Noxious Presence). Tossed in the new bats for quest credit. Just add some cheap units to fill out the team and they rip through everything. If you get the melee lifesteal or poison damage doubled perk consider that run a clear.

TY yet again for the guide, OG! I was struggling with building a functional deck at troop lvl 22, i guess the answer was to ignore cenarion minis.

Great guide ... two points of advice for others: - If you can, make your Leader GOLD (3*) first (or asap) ... all of Ysera's minis gain levels ... so even if you cannot complete Red difficulty, your boss minis will be at the highest possible lvl for all encounters you play (PVP or PVE). This is the only leader who I'd recommend this method for, usually you want to upgrade your mini slots first, but Ysera's minis are kinda an integral part of the deck and e.g. Sleep works better the higher the lvl it is - As others have mentioned ... add the new Bat mini to your deck (instead of the Plague Farmer or Bandits) ... easy completion of a handful of event challenges ... I guess Hoesman as well, but it you have him you've probably already completed all of the associated quests ... as an F2P I'm 40k away from picking him up ...

I completed this yesterday starting at level 5 and going through 23 to get the gold with: Bog Beast/Ancient War/Witch Doc/Harpies(used Dire Bats on the early levels to get those rewards)/Execute/Quilboar. Love the videos! (I do need a heoric drak kill though. getting stuck on the undead and horde leaders)

I've been getting pretty good results running Bog Beast and Dryad with the speed talent side by side. Could replace Plague Farmer in this comp, and utilize that dreaded second Cenarion slot.

Yep Dryad did work for me on this. Knocked out full golden Ysera team extremely fast.

I used the following team. I'll note the base lvl in brackets: Ysera (21) - Recurring Dream Fearie Dragon (21) - Resistance talent Dryad (21) - Speed buff talent Murlocks (23) - Ranged talent Prowler (24) - Invisibility Talent Fire Elemental (21) - Immolation Aura SAFE Pilot (21) - Cloaking Device Gameplay: Buffing Fire Elemental with speed Taking all the gold as fast as possible and cylcing through to get more Fast Fire Elementals. Ranged DPS to make a ball behind Fire Elemental. Melee's to cover the other lane(s)

You can try them instead of Bandits. If you did not start yet, you can just unbound spam the first few levels while Bats are in your army to complete the challenge and switch to the real army after that.
