Direct cut barley

Chopping barley to feed our heifers. This is the first time we have grown barley for feed. We wait until the barley starts to dry down and then run the chopper through it with a mower head on it

With the direct cut this year we chose to drive beside when opening up... Can't decide which one's better... You drive some flat but then you don't spill since it don't blow as nice as corn silage.

That Fieldline blower is a beast! Is this fed to heifers or milk cows?

We have one for it. Maybe I'll switch it out and put up a video with it on sometime
