Jo ek point regular ko mila hain wo hi kafi hain kyu ki no normal individual know which scheme to choose and if he or she choose wrong scheme then that 0.88% overall return me difference bataya woh 3-4% tak ja sakta hain… if you want to go for direct then choose only index fund because no laymen has that much knowledge or time to choose right scheme. If you want to go for active fund then go with good trustable advisor with your individual requirements.

Sir, This difference become in long term. But problem is who invest in india for long term? Check the average tenure of any MF Investments. Distributors mainly help in behavioral management which helps in their clients from not panicking and redeeming without thinking for exit loads, Taxation etc. I would prefer Regular fund with proper knowledge and advisory than a direct fund just to save cost. If the fund selection and my behavior could be managed then I dont mind giving 0.5-1%
